Newbie - FAQ

So I'm getting P411 verified this week, and I'm going to try for my first encounter while on a business trip, I have a question; I'm wanting to post in Regional Board to see who is newbie friendly and willing to work with a first timer, is it good practice to specify what I'm looking for as far as hair color, demeanor, etc? Or do I need to pick out of whomever will see me?

Anything else I need to know I'm all ears, I read through alot of the FAQ and Do's & Don'ts, I have a pretty good understanding, but your first time with anything is always a little nerve racking.

Thanks

When you’re very first post on a regional board is an ISO Post and you don’t have any reviews, be prepared for either crickets or blow back by mongers. Just the way it is.

Any other advice or just pointing out my error with no proposed fix?

He was just giving you some very good advice about what to expect when an unknown guy starts making ISO posts on a regional board. There is almost always some wiseass who is going to make some kind of crack about the possibility of you being LE. Don't shoot the messenger. It's very possible you will get very few, or possibly even no replies to your ISO post.

Now for a better alternative to simply posting on your regional board, what I would suggest is after you are approved by P 411 and get your profile set up, I would start checking for P 411 providers in your area that advertise as "newbie friendly" or "basic members" accepted. There are a few of them in virtually every decent sized city. Start by seeing a couple of these "newbie friendly" providers, get a couple of "okays" under your belt and your problems in passing screening should become a thing of the past.

Good luck, and happy hunting.

After reading my post, i was a little abrasive for no reason, @hiddenhills, I apologize, thanks for your input. I just got my approval today, I was looking through P411 but didnt realize I had to be accepted before i could really browse the sight, that will where i start, am I able to filter for "newbie friendly?"

Yes you can. Click on advance search and that will take you to a big search form. Near the bottom it says provider willing to see: and you can set that to newbie friendly.

Just know this: I've talked to 3 "Newbie Friendly" providers over the last few days:

2 of them made me send them some of the same stuff I'd sent to P411: They asked for a LinkedIN profile and a picture of my drivers license - they were OK if I edited the pic to cover up all the info but the name.   (And yes, this actually is redundant to, and less thorough than, the P411 Client verification process - women, go figure.)

The other one was all upset that I didn't have references, and was too stupid to suggest any of the above.  (I mean that literally.  This chick was as dumb as box of rocks, and terrifically inconsiderate too, though she generally gets good reviews. )

Unfortunately that last one happened *before* the other 2, so I didn't know to suggest it either.   Because, yeah, I *was* a Newbie she was  being "friendly" to.

That's a good heads up, generally speaking. Personally, I joined 411 via the references route, so I was a plus three the moment my account was activated. From that day on, I never had to worry about searching up "newbie friendly." I just know you can lol.

So should i reach out to them? Hope for the best?

I think you're OK posting to a regional board with your ISO. I think you should mention newbie friendly, upcoming P411 membership, and maybe some preferences.
.
I am never surprised when someone posts an ISO for specifics (e.g., blond, 21-26, Latina, ...) and gets replies along the lines of "I'm everything you're looking for except I'm brunette, late 30s, Caucasian, .... but I think we'll hit it off." Just go with the flow.
.
Sometimes a newbie (no reviews, 3 board posts) will get blowback for being an unknown, "Why should anyone take a risk on you or help you?" but sometimes the response is friendly and helpful. Besides, you have to start somewhere.
.
Good luck.
.
EDIT: Search your local board (or ANY board) for "ISO" as a search term and see what other people are  writing. Try to stick to the same form (explicit vs implicit wording, etc.). Here's one example who is not interested in FS: "I am looking for someone [outcall]. A lot of body to body contact and mutual touch would be preferred."

That makes sense, and with more tact than thinking. I dont want to waste anyones time, and that allows for them to know whats going on, thank you.

You can search "new reviews" in the city you will be in.

Then do a little research on some of the ladies to find what you're looking for.
 (And of course Newbe friendly)

I have a list of favorites, and when one of them pops up in a new review, I know they are currently seeing clients.

Depending on the city, posting an iso add usually won't get you too far.

Good luck!

ok cool, thank you. i will look into it.

I'm probably thinking way too much into this, but i know this isnt your FBook profile, so they dont need all my details, but should i keep it somewhat simple? Likes & dislikes, somewhat sexual info mixed with a little personal?

Also, do you guys have profile pics for P411?

Lol. I would refrain from sending unnecessary personal information. It may bite you in the ass.

Providers will See you pretty much no matter what you like, remember this isn’t match.com or SA.  There more concerned with your hygiene than the way you look.

Also,’some providers will ask for a pic as part as their screening. NEVER send a pic, simply move onto a provider who’s screening requirements are acceptable to you

Roger that, thanks!

Alright, I have an affirmative, but I do have a question, is the time agreed on/known upon receiving the gift, or is time brought up prior to the engagement?

Now I'm just nervous I'll slip and say something I shouldn't

Not sure how you got an "affirmative" without a time. Usually you set up a meeting by time (i.e. Wed at 6 pm for 2 hours.) If you don't have a confirmed time, definitely set that before heading over.

Some people like to have the option of extending the date. If that's in your mind you can ask ahead. Say you want one hour with the option of extending IF she is available. (She may have other commitments). If she is ok with that, you would drop the initial donation upon arrival and just start your session, but make sure you have enough extra to pay for the extended time. (Keep the extra in your pocket or someplace safe) Sometime during the session if you decide for sure you want to extend, let her know, then you can drop the additional donation.

Good luck, and if you haven't already read the TER Instruction Manual (pinned thread at the top of this page), please read it. All of it!

There is STARTING TIME time, which I think you have worked out.
There is DURATION TIME time, which it seems like you haven't officially agree upon. The standard default is one hour, so be sure to bring enough for that. If you know you want more ahead of time, let her know and check her website for special rates (1 h = 3, 2 h = 5).

@perfectstorm, I used affirmative loosely, I found a provider willing to work with a newbie. She was able to get things rolling with the details of the visit, going with 90 min.

So before I completely agree to seeing my first provider, is there any VIP member who would be willing to view her page and check if her reviewers are legit, there are only 4 reviews on TER but i cant see what else they have reviewed. I would just like a little peace of mind.

Thank You

Oh, that's right you can't get a PM without VIP. lol

Come on dude, this is the newbie board where we try to be "nice" but nobody likes a freeloader. Cough up a lousy thirty bucks like the rest of us and you can do your own research.

Yes, Lily sure has some cute pics, now if you only knew if they were real or not. lol Her rate is $500 hr, if you can't spend $30 to check for yourself, I have ZERO sympathy for you. If you were seeing a woman at the lower end of the scale you "might" be able to convince someone you are on a budget, but guys seeing $500 hr hookers are hardly poor.

Do yourself a big favor and get VIP! It will pay for itself many times over. I think most of us offering you assistance in this thread assumed you already had VIP. We are supposed to be helpful on this Newbie board but I certainly hope nobody "helps" you by giving you access to VIP info. There are some things you need to do for yourself.

Why should someone who "earned" VIP status either by paying, writing reviews, or submitting problem reports, give away "earned" information to someone too lazy or too cheap to get it themselves?

For the OP (original poster, KNB). You can buy VIP using an anonymous Gift Card (GC).  Buy a GC using cash at a brick-and-mortar store (CVS, Wal-(Mart/Greens), ... ANYPLACE!).  Pay for VIP here:
https://secure.paygarden.com/pay/site/theeroticreview/theeroticreview/start
$40.00 Starbucks gift card → 34 days of access
$75.00 GameStop gift card → 72 days of access
$200.00 Best Buy gift card → 229 days of access
.
(When you monetize a GC, the company (paygarden) takes a cut for their overhead and loss on re-sale. $40 for 34 days is a premium over the cash cost, but convenient and easy for the short haul.)
.
Start with 1 month (34 d) and see how it goes. Write reviews or pay more money to extend VIP.

I was hoping to get an opinion on whether or not she is LE? I got VIP, so I will research it.

Now you can fully take advantage of TER resources.
