Question on a non standard date

I have a question. Would it be considered rude to ask a provider if they offered lower rates if everything was to be done in public?  I have asked a few and they did not seem to mind. However, I want to make sure this is not some unwritten rule I broke.  Would I be better to see the provider first and then ask once we were able to meet and she knows I am not the type that would push for the extras?  The ones I asked were people I have seen previously.  I made it a point when I asked that this was not a negotiation attempt.  It was simply a question to see if that was an option.
It is nice sometimes to just go to dinner or a movie (not snuggling unless discussed first, or other event.

have public dates rates. I did it for couple months and didn't turn out well.... I notice that they wanted to take advantage of  other things so I remove it from my website.
Regardless.... wether an hour, 2, or extended date... remember that my time is what is compensated for.

I sell my time... no services :)

Some providers will charge you the same rate regardless of the nature of the date. Some providers offer a lower "social rate" for public activities like dancing or dining at a restaurant. Some providers list a standard mixed date option on their site, with a fixed rate for a multi-hour date that includes a combination of public and private time. And some providers specify that a long date (More than 3 or 4 hours) must include time for a meal. Ask when you are requesting your appointment.

are something that a number of providers offer; since you won't be asking about additional services in your initial contact with them, it should be OK to talk about simply meeting for drinks/dinner/movie time.

Should you wish to upgrade to Behind Closed Door (BCD) activities once the date has progressed and you're both comfortable with one another, do so discreetly if you're still in public.

and "escorting" is 100% legal and can often be found for a fraction of what a "sex provider" charges, although of course some providers will provide this type of "date" for a rate commensurate with the service provided. Others will want the same, or almost the same rate as they get for BCD activities because they have convinced themselves that they really are selling "time and not sexual services" Of course most of us who are honest with ourselves know better. lol

If you are having a problem getting women that you have slept with to offer this type of a date at a rate you find acceptable, you might try making an ISO post on your local board to see if you get any takers.

I saw some news/report about dates you could get in the $10 an hour to have someone go to a movie dinner with you. Purely company, nothing sexual (though I suppose some might offer extras).

Might want to just do a search to see if it's still a thing.

that's hilarious! Guess I could make some side cash and support my playtime by being a rent-a-Dad (maybe rent-a-Grandpa!)

Thanks for all of the feedback. I understand that time is time and the provider should be compensated. I guess it is up to the provider. I know their are other avenues out there for just social events. My question was more on specific providers that a hobbyist may enjoy spending time. I guess it does not hurt to ask. That was one of my concerns that the provider may not like that question as it may come across as someone trying to haggle a price.
If you have seen the provider already then the question may not be as bad. As the provider could possibly know the hobbyist a bit better and know what to expect.
