the 55 minute mark, 1 hr. 55 minute mark, etc. Use the same song each time as your key song and that is all you will have to remember.

This is directed to providers... I'm a newbie and was wondering what are some of the ways that you ladies keep track of time? I don't want to be a clock watcher and I may get carried away having fun but at the same time, I don't want to go over by a significant amount of time (60-90 minutes) unless I want to.

I've read another thread where the response was to have/create playlists of various lengths but that didn't seem realistic because what am I going to do, have several playlists? Setting an alarm seems like it would take away from an otherwise good time so IDK.

I appreciate you all in advance for your suggestions!

Thanks,
Nia

An alarm with a song playing softly wouldnt be so bad lol compared to a loud bell if you need to.

I have a insanely good sense of time so when i know its about that time give or take I'll just pick up my phone and be like "just seeing how were doing on time......" And then just decide from there when it needs to wrap up.

Or just have a visible clock in the room....its not a cardinal sin to look at the clock lol i mean we are working and on a time constraint so inevitably you'll have to check.

You'll figure out what works best for you.

I never pay attention to the music providers play, so I wouldn't care if they played the sane thing. If you don't want to do that, maybe you could switch up the playlist but keep certain songs strategically placed as benchmarks.

I have been with one provider who used an alarm. I didn't care. Many others had clocks in not too obvious places, at which I'm sure they surreptitiously glanced from time to time.

...of keeping the time in mind. This is your session, so you should let her run the "game clock" and you concentrate on enjoying yourself.

She's the professional (I'm assuming you are seeing a pro, with good reviews and is an upstanding provider), so let her keep an eye on the clock.

or look for where the clock is when you enter the room. just don't be awkward when looking at it. You'll develop a great internal clock the longer you're in this business.

All of them were helpful. I appreciate you guys!

Most of the providers I've been with play music on their iPhones or whatever during the session and it never occurred to me that that was a way for them to keep track of time.

From a client's perspective it's a hell of a lot better than having an alarm clock go off!  :-)

There's nothing wrong with having a clock visible, per say...  it's how you act when the time runs out.  One gal I saw used to turn the clock away so I couldn't see it either.
Another gal... we used every room in her house.  Eventually I noticed that a tiny travel clock was always in the rom with us... to the side.  Sometimes on her dresser, the next tme on a low book shelf...  It didn't matter to me because we always had a good time & I never felt rushed.
Yet another had different mix discs that played for an hour.

When I first started, a friend who's also in this business suggested I used a playlist and kept track of time through the songs. Depending on the song that's currently playing, I'd know how much time I had left.

I didn't like the idea for 2 reasons: the first being that this method would limit the music I'd be able to play (can't memorize the length of songs from multiple playlists!) and the second and most important being that during my time with someone the last thing I want is to have to pay attention to anything else other than whoever is with me.

Nowadays I have different playlists and a good sense of time. I also have a discreet clock, which I will check when/if needed, and always making sure to do so in a manner that won't take away from the moments we're having.

i control the music, the play list, the volume, time and calories burned! LOL

Instead of running a fixed playlist, go with no music at all but set a very POLITE music alarm that will slowly turn up some music of your liking after xx (50?) minutes or so.
.
No music = keep going.
Music creeping up slowly in volume =
And now, the end is near,
And so I face the final curtain.
My friends, I'll say it clear;
I'll state my case of which I'm certain.

I've lived a life that's full -
I've traveled each and every highway.
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.
