Oh my. My head is spinning from all the information out there and that I am receiving. I searched the forums and didn't really see what I was looking for.

Providers- are you now taking or thinking of accepting any type of crypto currency in the future?

Clients- have you used this as a form of payment or have any experience/advice for a crypto newbie?

I am using coinbase for now but am also looking into not using a service for the future. Any links or good source of information would be greatly appreciated.

Between the inevitable bubble that Bitcoin is in plus the restrictions in converting these to US cash, some of which could put your privacy at risk, it's best to stick to paper cash.

Did you open your Coinbase account anonymously (not in your real name)? I was not able to open an account anonymously with them so I would not use it to pay for my hobby. I did use it to pay for TER, but that's legal. From what I understand, every transaction is recorded on the bitcoin so it's traceable back to me. I don't feel comfortable that government has the ability to find out how I spend my money in my hobby. I know there are other way to buy bitcoins but they are either shady (high risk) or costly (fee and exchange rate). I don't see how it's a better payment method over cash.

Most all providers prefer and appreciate cash. It's honestly the best way to go in my opinion.

...from last Wednesday about bitcoin in particular and other cryptocurrencies in general. As a dinosaur, I was in a physical library, reading actual paper and ink, so no link for y'all, but it was an interesting read on the subject.

Monero is the way to go if you decide to accept crypto that is just as anonymous as accepting cash. Others are fine too but not truly anonymous. Anybody that says Monero is not anonymous has know idea what their talking about. If you wanna stick with bitcoin just download a wallet like breadwallet on your iPhone. Just keep your private key secure. Use that not coinbase. Only use an exchange to swap back to dollars.

At best, you'd have to ask the specific provider you're interested in if she accepts crypto and how she would like to receive it.

Everyone in this thread saying cash is king isn't entirely wrong. Cash is king, but get caught by the cops, even for something unrelated, while having a few K in cash on you and see how that works out. Probably not good.

Crypto is really only useful for prepaid meetings. Like pay morning of, meet a few hours later. It's much safer for everyone involved, legally speaking, when compared to cash. It's also much harder to use, so that's the trade off and a trade off most girls don't care to make.

Give it a decade and we'll all be using crypto, but in 2018, it's still a very new thing.
