Ive been out of the game for a few years. I ended up marrying one of my clients. Big mistake lol. Now I'm back and on the hustle for reviews. I forgot how important and hard it is to get reviews. I'm trying to remember how I started out last time, but the struggle is real. Any advice or recommendations on getting reviews? The review struggle is real.

...seven days.  Let people know that you are not new, but returning after a while away for personal reasons.  If you had a profile on TER previously, you can get it back if you still are using the same email address.  That way you will instantly have reviews, although they'll only be old reviews.

You can also post a photo on the Photo Board every day, but you can only use the same photo once in the same calendar month.

Participate in your regional discussion board if you have something to contribute.  You can link your ad or website to your post.  You can also start a thread on a topic you find interesting or have a question about but you can't put a link to your ad in a post which starts a thread (except on the ad board).  Make sure it's a legitimate topic or else it will be seen as an ad not a post.  This is called a "threAD" and they're easy to spot.

If you don't have it yet, get TER VIP.  It will help you in many ways.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I now know what a ThreAD is, I kept wondering why my post kept getting taken down.

An ad post is post that starts a new thread that contains either a picture of you and/or a link to your ads/website, those type of posts are not allowed except on the ad boards and certain theme days under the rules of those themes.

A threAD is a thinly veiled ad post, disguised as a discussion post, but plainly a "look at me" post. Depending on how blatant a threAD is, it may or may not be allowed.

Please remember you are not only allowed, but encouraged to link your web site to your discussion post, but NOT on OPs, which are posts that begin a new thread.

have been out of the game for a while.

Have you tried to search for reviews from guys you had seen previously? You could contact them to jump start your business again.

So I don't where else you're posting ads, but let me share this from my personal experience.....

All the providers I've seen I've researched on TER, but I found out that not all of them actively participated on the site.  I started to wonder if a few of them even knew they had a profile on the site (maybe the agency they worked for set it up, who knows).

Now those that were pretty active on TER would actually bring it up during our session.  So we'd talk about TER and the review thing, and a handful asked me to write one, to which I happily obliged.  It wasn't offensive to me at all to be asked to write one.  In fact, it was kinda neat when we both realized that were both pretty active on the site.

So I would say, gauge the ones who book you through TER or mention that they researched you on TER, and ask them to write one for you.  Couldn't hurt, could it?
