Have  just read a  DISTURBING  article on  "HPV  Link  to  developing  Oral Cancer" !!!! Wanted to share  the info and receive  feedback from  fellow  team members.
Seems  that   many oral  cancer  patients  treated today  have  tumors on the back of their tongues and  throat , caused by the  human  papillomavirus-16 (HPV)!!!   And the  theory is that  all of them  got the  HPV  from  oral sex  !!!
98 % of  cervical  cancer is  caused by  HPV and mostly  HPV-16, but no one  thought that you could  get  mouth cancer from it !!! Even  "baby boomers"  who  thought they had dodged the  STD  bullet  may not  have after all,  as the HPV lies dormant for  years, before  causing  cancer.

Be careful out there  amigos.  Be  careful what (who) you eat !

UGGGGGG!!!  Sort of  severe  ramifications  for  anyone  doing oral.

though HPV has been linked to a 32x increase in risk of oral / throat cancer

1 the overall risk is still immensely less than being maimed in a traffic accident. The risk is less than that of many common activities.

2 nobody that I've read is claiming causality yet. co-incidence and causality are not the same. One could do a study about how many people have eaten a carrot within 6 months of having a heart attack and generate a statistic of co-incidence.

bottom line: understand the risks versus benefit ratio of any activity. Different people will come to differing conclusions about these tradeoffs. I love skydiving, but bungee jumping is not my deal (I have tried it twice.....)
