I happen to like you, so I'm going to take it easy on you. 
I have used Ashley as a reference numerous times and I have had no problems. I know a few other guys who have used her as a reference and again they had no problems.
You have been escorting much longer than I have even been involved with the hobby so it is kind of stupid for me to give you advice, but I will do it anyway.
If a provider does not respond to your emails you should pick up the phone and call her. Not every provider has to sit by her computer waiting for emails to come in with appointment requests. Some can announce a trip and have themselves booked up without any problems by the end of the night. The next thing is that hobbyists do not want to see providers who whine at all on the boards about anything because most of us get that at home. I know I get scared away from providers who do this. I may have missed out on some great ladies, but it is a choice I have made. The last thing is that you should depend less on others to do your background check on clients. I can see once in a while expecting other providers to give you references, but you should also be checking out the clients who you are unable to get a reference on. What do you do if someone does not have a reference? Do you not see them? I would doubt it.
In closing I find it funny that you are complaining about someone not getting back to you about a reference. I have heard from more than enough independent providers that YOU do not respond to reference requests. I was going to make a few calls and have the providers put in their 2 cents about this, but I figured what is it going to really prove. By tomorrow this thread will be on page 2 and someone else will be bitching about another topic...lol!

I need to balance the scales since I get the feeling its a gang up on Octavia for going public with an issue she is having.
btw EB, I happen to like you too, so I'll take it easy on you too. Trouble is not all providers do cooperate with each other when it comes to references so lets not just assume Octavia is making it up. Maybe its a misunderstanding they can work out between themselves but sometimes a little public urging does the trick to help that cause along. Octavia shouldnt be chastized for doing this, for me its a public service.EB how can you just assume that Octavia didnt call or that Ashley hasnt seen these email requests from Octavia. What would be the reason to bring this to the board if Ashley were responding??
I don't see this as her whining, maybe she's just getting frustrated with the lack of cooperation.
Now I know you like Ashley and I like Octavia but neither one of us belong in this thread EB. Nothing personal against Ashley either as I have never met her, I jusy cant see any reason for Octavia to post this if there wasnt some substance to it.
