END OF MESSAGE

I''m responding to a posting by Mr. Info in a recent thread in which he catigates me for my comments about Jason and NY Confidential.

Mr, Info, there is no reason for you to go back and play private detective and search for my old postings to try to slam me.  I would think you have better things to do than research the TER Disc. Bd. threads from a year (or more) ago.

First of all, I never shilled for Jason or NY Confi; I was a very happy client and became friendly with him.  And then I had a falling out with him in the same way as many of us do every so often with people in our lives  Now, after reading the NY Magazine story, I do feel a certain amount of empathy for what he has gone through despite the fact that it is a result of his own behavior.  He' obviously had a troubled past and a difficult childhood, which undoubtedly led to many of the problems.  Many of us have problems in our lives today because of childhood experiences.

The fact that I have changed my judgment of Jason doesn't mean that I am being disingenuous nor does it prove that I was shilling for him.  Haven't you ever had a falling out with someone and reconsidered issues and had a change of mind or a change of heart?

We all change and evolve as human beings on a day to day based upon our cummulative life experiences.   We are all people, with hearts and minds, and  we often go back and reconsider our judgments or assessments of people or experiences and re-evaluate those people or experiences from new perspectives as we ourselves change as people.  Sometimes, we can wake in the morning and have deep contempt for a person, only to get to know them better, and then perhaps develop some empathy as we learn more.

Americans are always quick to accuse a politician of "flip-flopping" on an issue if he/she changes position and this causes us to distrust the politician.  And every politician tries to worm his way out of the situation with the parsing of words.  Why can't a politician simply say, "I've given the issue more thought, done more reading and research, and have changed my mind on the issue."  Wouldn't that be a refreshing  breath of honesty from a politician?

We are people.  All of us.  We all have our strengths, our weaknesses, and our character flaws.  And we have all made mistakes in our lives and exercised bad judgment and done imprudent things.   However, most of us are lucky that  we have not had our weaknesses or character  flaws made public.

To get in touch with our own humanity means that we are willing and able to engage in some self-reflection, re-examination of people and of our own past, hopefully resulting in greater self awareness, growth as a human being, and development of a greater ability to experience true empathy.  That's what seperates us from other animals.  Without that ability, we are no different than a wild, uncivilized ape in the jungle.

I'm hoping what I have writtten here has the ring of truth for some people and  therefore, find it unnecessary to go back and dig up my prior postings solely for negative and non-productive purposes.

For me all this speaks to is how wonderful a community Tenafly, NJ is and how proud all THS grads should be that Jason Itzler has made such a positive name for himself...Hopefully the High School will invite him back to give a speech at next year's graduation on how to dream big and make it!

these posts are drowning out your ability to to do your shilling!!!

I don't understand all the anger and vitriol directed at Jason.  He's not the first to take advantage of manipulating the Disc Bds or even posting fake reviews and manipulating the system to his benefit.  But the fact of the matter is that NY Confi truly did have the best looking girls in the city who always gave it their all when visiting a client.  And yes, he was charging outrageous prices.  But  he never held a gun to anyone's head forced them to book one of his girls, nor did he ever try to squeeze more money out of a client after the fact, nor did he ask for more money once a girl showed up.  And it ALWAYS was the girl in the photo.  I believe a lot of the anger comes from people who were unable to afford his girls and their jealousy and frustration comes out as anger.  I had my own personal issues with Jason that caused a rift in our relationship, but that was addressed and repaired like any other business relationship or friendship.  Jason didn't do anything different than any other business man,  Large corporations are raping America ever day... from telecom mergers, oil/engergy producers, and banks who merge and dominate a market and essentially engage in price fixing.  These are services we rely on and often don't have a choice.  Jason's shennanigans pale in comparison.  Yes, he was the PT Barnum of this business.  And yes, he did exercise some bad judgment,  But we all have and it just so happens that his bad judgment was in an environment and in a situation that had much more profound consequences that the bad judgment most of us use on occassion.
Corporate thieves like Lay and Ebbers are worse as well as the Chief Executive of this country.  They do more harm to more people than Jason could ever hope to do.  "Nuf said.

Opinions are just that:  OPINIONS!!!  They are subjective and based on personal perspective.  Therefore, they cannot be measured as to whether or not they can be trusted.  If you disagree with a film critic's OPINION, do you rant and rave that he can't be trusted either?  I never write lies.  I express my opinions, and just like everyone has an asshole, everyone has an opinion.  But just like assholes, not all of them may be suited to your taste.

You are not giving opinions, you are giving
recommendations!!!  I wouldn't trust a movie
critic who worked for Paramount or other studio.
It's a blatant conflict of interest!!!

I don't trust you reviewing or saying anything
about Jason or anything that has anything to do
with him.  You are 1000% compromised and tainted
with respect to Jason.
