Just curious about others favorite bars? I tend to go to quite place, one when you can hear yourself think. 
I don't drink often anymore but the Kimberly Hotel has nice cocktails and the view is amazing.
Is it relatively easy to get a table outside at Upstairs on a weeknight? Would I need to make reservations? Finally, would that place be the type of place that would impress a lady?
It's definitely a place to impress a lady and it more of a bar small plate place. Every time I went I didn't make reservation but I think you can possibly make reservations.
I enjoy looking and flirting with the eye candy at the W. I frequent Tir Na Nag and the New York Beer Company.
If theres any suggestions on a location that serves good FOOD and drinks..that'd be a plus

Try Bathtub Gin in Chelsea... you will need reservations. Intimate and unique. Not that quiet though.
will have to check it out..
