END OF MESSAGE

1-Raising prices without raising services
2-No shows with no excuses or apologies
3-No shows with stupid and lame stories
4-YMMV
5-What your services really are vs. "advertized"

guys??!?!?!

1- Not so much.  Sometimes, a rate hike is due to uncontrollable circumstances like hotel rates or increased expenses, other times increased demand.    I'd find it more annoying if she raised her rates and did not grandfather in regulars and repeat clients.

2- Haven't had it happen yet, but I'd be upset

3- See above

4- Providers are like everyone else, they have bad days - I don't fault them for that.  However, I believe some reviewers like to hide behind YMMV when they want to discriminate.  I've hadsubstandard service where I felt the provider found me unattractive and let it show.  Can't prove it though, it's a vibe thing.

5- I don't rely on the ads, I read the reviews.  If she doesn't have reviews, then you can TOFTT but you'd have to lower your expectations.  It can only get better from there.  As many a hobbyist can confirm, beauty does not always equal performance.

I would add two more:

6- Bait and switch

7- Performance is contradicted by reviews [e.g., every reviewer says BBBJ but she doesn't with you for no reason or she says it's a policy]

8- Hobbyists who see a lady after she has a few bad reviews - and then act surprised!

I'd say #2, big time.

#4 is the nature of the business but vibe thing is huge and it really hurts when you have been really looking forward to meeting someone and then you press because you feel lack of vibe and it gets worse

#5 is a good one to add

#7 comes from vibe thing/attraction issue

Nothing to hate..much to love! But to respond to your concerns...

1.  I am grandfathered...and services have been raised...BBBJTCCIM now an option with all, not that it never was...no price increase...I picked my providers well...

2.  Never happened.

3. See #2 ...

4.  Always applies.  But I get good YMMV!....

5.  I never worry about that...I am a nerd, but always get the goods.  This is not hard...be honest and forthright with the provider in questiom, don't bullshit her, and go with the flow...that will get you to the primised land.  At least it always has for me...

CD

The thing that gets me the most is #1. Whatever happened to the $300 encounter? It has gone the way of the Edsel. I realize that doing business in NYC is more expensive, but when a provider has a rate $100 less in another major city before they come to NY, that's a little tough to understand.

distasteful and sometimes inexplicable as well.
Research and diligence helps to avoid the pitfalls, but, when they do happen....I too wind up with a very bad day!

You made the same complaint on Lucy Montgomery's post.  As an example: Hilton's standard rate is $509 in NYC (6th Ave midtown) while in City Center Philly it's $170. A nice dinner in NY is easily $100 where it's half that in PA (yes you can spend much less or more in either city but in my experience comparable meals in NY are 2X Philly). When you get to the ultra restaurants it's more like $500 vs. $200. So, as is the case with Lucy,  if a provider feels it's appropriate to have a 25% up-charge in NY, I completely understand.

the only things I really hate are that the rates keep going up and the whole bait & switch thing

because the provider dares to quit or become an indy.

Defintitely 1 and 4.

I also hate when providers say that they treat everyone the same and ends up being a clear case of ymmv, but they say it was your fault NOT theirs.

I hate when a provider seems to say whatever she wants on a forum but because she SEEMS to have a good rep and good reviews, no one is brave enough to criticize her.  And those that do are instead criticized.

If I was wasn't "brave enough to criticize" guess I'd come up with a lame alias like "ihatewhiteknights2" and blast away in anonymity. I respect others (both providers & hobbyists) opinions whether I agree with them or not. But lighten up; providers are human and while every client should be treated well it is not rational to think every experience will be the same.

and the hobby has been good to me, so I continue to play another day.

Surely there are times that don't go smooth but they are few and far between with the well reviewed ladies.

Perhaps I've just been a lucky dog.

I much prefer staying with someone I click with, so that probably explains why.

My one pet-peeve is when a provider tells you to send them info on something you talk about, and then they never respond back on it when you know they read what you sent. Why waste my time? I'm a multiple-hour person, so I look for a little email interplay. I've had some great times with very nice ladies, but have decided not to pursue them again, even though I know they'd like me to, for this reason. I'm not looking for different ladies all the time, and in fact haven't read new lady reviews for a while. Unless my current situation changes with soem of the things you mentioned, I'm content.

I'd add these:

Shill reviews

Fake reviews

Provider/reviewer quid pro quo arrangements

Being hussled for more cash during a session

Overly aggressive screening

Outcall-only providers
