when I was single.  Single guys can always go to a bar and pick up gals. I'm guessing 80+% of hobbyists are married with lousy sex lives (or no sex lives).

Single guys cannot go into a bar and pick up a girl who will:

1 - Be a 'sure thing' fuck five minutes after they start talking
2 - Look exactly how they want her to look
3 - Definitely perform the sexual acts he desires
4 - Leave when he wants her to and not expect any subsequent contact

Just some of the reasons guys (married or single) hobby.

Plus add in that many of the single guys seeing escorts are probably workaholics with no time to go to a bar to spend hours in the hopes of hooking up.

Available time, I believe, is a big key here....

went to my 1st amp 20 yrs. ago. Amps use to be  my- just in case I'm horny and didn't pick up someone- bail out. Besides, you never had anyone ever milk you for drinks all nite and then left you w/ a woody after making out and dry humping you? And, at my 1st job my boss frequented providers and opened my eyes on a business trip 3 yrs. prior to marraige. Ahh the days of inocence.

As a single (now retired) hobbyist I had a  great time!!!

It was wonderful to date a variety of intelligent, interesting and incredibly beautiful women.  Not to mention, it didn't hurt that you knew the punch line of the date would be amazing sex.

A great deal of it had to do with time and the commitment I was going to make then.

I for one, as a single hobbiest (would I still be classified as a hobbiest?:)), have no desire to hit the bar scenes to maybe get lucky after long and activity filled work day.
I have been doing this hobby after a breakup with a lady that I was with for a moderate length. I choose to do it now because I am not attached. I would not do this if married or in a relationship....Not that anything is wrong with that, just not me.

I am single and I hobby because I can have sex and the women leave afterward. I can not be sure of that if I pick up a woman in a bar, work, grocery store, shopping mall, laudrymat, car wash, convenience store, city landfill :-), ect.
The piece of mind in knowing that she will leave after it is all done makes paying worthwhile.
