RISP, did 2 stings.
1) F/M trooper posted an ad on CL.
2) Male troopers answered ads on CL.

Once again i will say this is entrapment. The state police did the soliciting.UF real.

I'm not surprised about CL being used...  but I actually AM surprised that the high profile strip clubs & AMPs were not first.

My guess is that the gal's in the AMPs are being very careful and only performing sex with trusted regulars until such time as this thing blows over.  (Which it will.)

Here's a link to a sports related casulty of the raids:

The head of the state poilce was one of the biggest proponents of the law being changed.  I link it to a kid that gets a new toy for christmas.  rips it open uses it very frequently then gets sick of it and in the toybox with the other toys it goes.  As far as them using Cl that is not a surprise.  Personally while this is going on I wont go to RI unless its to see someone who I have previously seen.  From what I have heard the AMPS have posted all types of signs and unless they recognize who comes in not much is happening.  I am surprised they havent busted a couple of places just for the media attention alone.

Another article on the new law, states strip clubs have signage everywhere.  Curtains removed from VIP booths. The ladies all have to sign that they'll not solicit on the property (or they'll be fired).  The law targets clients & property owners as well.
I'd initially heard that AMP girls had left the state but if that is permanant the places will close.
The strip club owners had stated that business was already off from the econimy...  now off still more...  Maybe the girls can collect unemployment!

With all the attention the CL murderer brought about the laxed State laws on prostitution, its not a surprise this happened.

I was at the Cadilac lounge right after the law went into effect and it was a different atmosphere. No special treatment anymore.

Strip clubs and AMPs are legal bussinesses, and a owner would be a fool to allow illegal activities. Or in the case of AMPs, new customers. LE had to realize this, and woul likewly be a waste of time so soon.

Eventually the uproar will subside and the underground prostiution won't be as big of a target. To much cash and time for a minor crime
