Are you all shoveled out? And why drive so fast?

Does anyone else think that the snow this time was a lot lighter than the last big snow? I was able to shovel out my car with energy to spare.

Also, what is the deal with cars zooming around right now when a lot of intersections aren't fully clear and it's still icy cold out which means slippery surfaces?

Do you zoom? WHY?

Below is what it looked like outside my window yesterday morning.

This snow was more icy, not wet.  Had it been more fluffy it would have stacked up a lot higher.

… but with all the snow this season, there’s huge snow piles bracketing many driveway and alley entrances, making them blind intersections.  Yet cars zoom down the roads way over the limit let alone at a SAFE speed for conditions.  There’s a reason there’s yellow warning signs with reduced speed limits on highways with blind intersections.

Slow the fuck down, people. This ain’t Le Mans. Drive smart and show some courtesy to fellow drivers, and get to that incall in one piece.

The snow in this storm was not the very wet and heavy snow from earlier storms.  That makes it easier to move.  I even had a guy that runs a plowing service tell me that it was easier when plowing with his truck.

I thought so! What I really like is that I can see the pavement already on some streets. And it's supposed to rain on Monday so more will wash away 😁
