White List

Is being white listed important these days? Do providers rely on them at all? I haven't ask a provider to white list me in years. Should I start asking again?
Thanks

They are as close to membership (in the P411 sense) that TER offers.

I ask for them.  If I do not get one, I don't whine about it and it does not affect my reviews or shills.

Some providers do not give them.  Their choice

Providers whose profiles are not connected to TER cannot give them. It seems that TER make it hard for some providers to validate their connection to their profile.  For reasons that I do not understand, some providers do not want to connect even though it also gives them whitelist and PM capability. Their choice.

Some providers do not seem to respond to emails or calls when they are contacted by providers to give a reference.  In that case, a whitelist can help verify a client.

It's one more way of establishing greater credibility.

I use them as possible component of screening and am happy to give them to clients I had a good time with.

I always thought being 'white-listed' would help with the screening process....True?

It depends on the provider. Every lady screens differently. I personally don't care about whitelist and don't use it for screening.

Good to know.  Thanks Andrea.

I would guess that 10 of the last 12 approvals I have gotten from ladies were with White List from TER and p411 OK's only.  I always tell them if they would like provider references I will be happy to supply them.  I did have one lady turn me down, saying it was to easy to "bully" a lady into giving p411 OK's.  I must be a hell of a bully, as I have 32 OK's on p411 and 14 TER white lists.   I think she is just super cautious because she just about wanted my first grade teachers maiden name for screening information.  That's fine a ladies gotta do what makes her comfortable.  bigdell

It appears that no one up here knows how to go about writing them. Or they just don't care.

I am curious exactly what does a whitelist tell the provider? The men pay, showed up on time, they are rough, not LE etc just not sure?

This is from TER's FAQ section.....

What is the TER White List??

Everyone talks about Blacklists. At TER, we prefer to be positive versus negative so we have created the White List. What is the White List? The White List is a list of providers who, after you have seen them, have personally vouched for you.

... but my take on it is, if a provider gives a white list or P411 OK to a client, she's telling fellow providers that she wouldn't hesitate to see the client again.  I expect it means that, at a minimum, the provider believes the person poses no danger to providers and is unlikely to pull an NCNS or short the donation.

I also suspect different providers have different criteria for white lists (and P411 OKs), which is why I'd like to see what providers have to say on this subject.

Thats pretty much my understanding as well. My experience is that the provider community generally supports one another and whitelisting or p411 OKs adds an additional level of available screening information beyond the normal email references.

I've always thought it meant the provider regarded the hobbyist as someone she'd be willing to see again.

by more than one provider that Okays are given (ladies get p411 points for giving okays)
but a Whitelist must be earned. Some require 2 appointments before whitelisting.

I also had one provider tell me she doesn't accept TER whitelists because "Anyone can sign up and write a review"
I didn't bother trying to explain the difference.

What I have heard is that some providers were handing out OKs even if they hadn't seen the hobbyist.  Consequently, P411 changed their procedure to require that the provider and hobbyist did meet and that the OK has to be requested by the hobbyist.

As I understand it, providers are obligated to give a P411 okay (after a paid encounter) if requested unless they provide a valid reason for not giving the okay.
