News segment on 48hrs last night on the above subject - very interesting and fun to watch. The long and short - FBI sting brought this establishment down run by a madam, her mother and her daughter worked there - 3 generations of women. Not very complimentary to the FBI - my favorite quote was " only the FBI could spend a year in the French Quarter and only find 12 prostitutes!". They went after all three, the grandmother and mother got no jail time, the daughter got her little girl taken away (sad). In the last scene, the madam said " I have legal bills no one (customers) helped me with during the investigation, I am writing a book and if I have to, I will name names - I'm not extorting anything here, just have to do what I have to do". mmmmmm, don't ever think they don't keep lists. I saw that show. I thought quite informative about the New Orleans perspective on the "hobby", and the involvement of those powerful "hobbyists" that put on the persona of being "Holier Than Thou". I am sorry about the baby Navea having been taken away from her mother, Monica. She really loved her. It was so apparent. But you'd think with all the things the government has going on behind the scenes, that this wouldn't be such a big thing. Referencing the grandmother, "they weren't hurting anybody, quite the contrary!" Maybe this is a little biased, but if wasn't for the lovely ladies we have developed relationships with, some marriages would be irritable and dissolve. For the single man, you have the golden opportunity to be with that woman who makes you feel romantic, charming, enticing, and sexy. If it wasn't for these "enchantresses", the world would be in worse shape than it is.
