I still can't come up with ANY reason to give out your drivers license or any personal information.  

I ask for a DL for safety reasons. I run their name and DOB in the system to see if they have a record of anything that could put me in harms way. I also cross check that with the other info I ask for like a LinkedIn profile to make sure the person matches up or a provider reference to also check on said client. This is a dangerous industry and there are some crazy people out there we do what we have to protect ourselves

Can not tell by your posts but would you see Wingman if he were to supply you with two references from his extensive list of both reviews and Whitelists without the ID ?
If not guessing you will never see that guy or many like him.

There is a guy in another state that I've known on and off for a while. He traveled to Canada for fun. Locally/US is out of the question. Since that big operation a few years ago, many from the top down to clients got caught. So back up north is the place to go. Sometimes, with some cheap airfare and the whole bit, it sounds like a good deal. Because most Canadian escorts don't, or the US will not let them in, especially the ones that are face out and other means to get info.

It's unlike the old days, before cell phones and the internet. Where the escorts kept scrap paper in one of her drawers or her closet, with names and numbers. You walk in, and four girls are renting the apartment (which still happens)

Neither can I.  I never thought that having such info fall into the hands of LE automatically means I could be arrested but that doesn't mean I want that info in their hands either.
