Rockhard mentioned a Pedestrian Sentry Pass in a thread below. How do I get one of those if I don't live in Tijuana? I've been going to TJ twice a week lately and it would be great to bypass the lines. Please PM me if that info is sensitive.
"Many Latinos have chosen to buy or build homes in Tijuana and commute to San Diego rather than face daunting home prices here. The Sentry Pass offered at the US-Tijuana border has reduced the hassle of crossing the border from hours to just minutes for those who qualify to use it, virtually eliminating the number one reason for Latinos choosing not to live in Tijuana"
You don't have to live in TJ to get a pedestrian pass. It's open to US citizens and you can live anywhere in the US.
This pedestrian program doesn't sound like it will be around in a few years. It was first announced that in 2007, everyone crossing from Mexico was going to be required a passport but with huge protests, the government is changing that requirement. Remember, this is the US Government, they don't know what the fuck they want to do and when it will happen... If you go to TJ a lot, it's better to get a vehicle sentri pass, get annual Mexican car insurance and drive back and forth. it will save you a lot of time, waiting.
By the way, I'll be renewing my annual membership to Juan's Tijuana this month. I think it's worth it. The pay site compliments the info I get from the free sites. I save so much by going down to TJ that $54 is just a drop in the bucket. Thanks for the recommendation.
I know lots of guys go to TJ since it's a huge bargain compared to the US girls. What I can't understand is that guys join the free sites or get the basic membership and try to save $20 or so. There was oen guy here belly aching about the price. When you're doing girls and paying TER, it's a huge savings not to go with a girl that might have some bad reviews. Same in TJ. You get reviews of girls and know if they are good or not and to spend $50-$60 to get the most current info is what I consider invaluable. yet guys bitch and complain. You'll always get guys that like to just whine...

I just returned from Mexico by air and was told repeatedly by the airline as well as by US Customs when I passed back in at PHX that a passport would be required at the end of this year. I am curious if this is really so? Where did you hear that it had changed?
