The first is a knowledge of what and where to massage. Stay off the spine! Milk those muscles. Be sure to get the hands, feet, scalp, and face.

Except I don't really like foot massage, but that's just me. Love head, neck, and face massage, and light touch/breath on neck and ears. Big +1 on using hair and NURU, but also agree with what was said about the rest of the body. Also the mutual touch.

One of the things I look for in a massage experience is how well she can make the world go away during the massage.
