91 years old.  His lifestyle was obviously conducive to longevity.

To BigPapasan, a frequent visitor to the Playboy Mansion.  Nobody could clear a stopped up toilet better than BigP, and Hef loved him for it.   We share BigP's sadness at the loss of a good friend and customer.

I had the pleasure of leafing through an original copy of an October 1976 issue of Playboy Magazine, and I was truly amazed by the beautiful of the publication (not just the women, but the journalism and reads as well)

Hugh was a true cultural icon and influencer. He made America sexier.

Meet him in the 90's several times.   Great guy and he knew me by name.
While in the hobby I've had a few bunnies!  Usually before they became bunnies, a couple while they were bunnies ;).
What a great man!!!!!

I rarely go to this forum anymore, but I have to say Hef was a very nice guy and VERY intelligent.  I photographed for Playboy for 6 years, starting in 1980.  Photographed many Bunnies for the Century City Club for their official portfolio.  Also shot food, events, etc. Had several PR shots and ads in the mag.
I need to find a rare video I shot on Umatic tape, showing the Bunny Hunt process.

He was gentle speaking and a true gentleman.  Really made a mark in the world

His quote:  "Life is too short to be living somebody else's dream"
