So I'll be in LA for work in a few weeks and I'm looking for a date. Emailed a couple and no response. Found this agency and no response. Is there a magic word I need to use? Any other similar providers that will respond?

Mainly a SC kind of guy and only used agencies in Chicago (with no problems getting verified and quick responses)then you need to be patient, because work verifications take time and providers and agencies will sometimes screen the easier requests first, like P411 and whitelist guys. If you're not brand new, you might get some traction by including the names and phone numbers of the last two ladies you saw IN YOUR INITIAL CONTACT, even if they are in another city. Indies are often tolerant about long-distance refs. Always ask a lady if its okay before listing her as a reference.
It's a Russian agency and you are not dealing with one booker, but they responded timely when I used to visit with them though.
Lolita is almost a sure thing. 
Do both, text and email tactfully.
Edit: I just re-read your post and they don't typically book a few weeks in advance as the girl may not be here. Their girls are here rarely longer than a month. A typical date generally takes less than a day to book.
