Finger Print Clearance Info
In Arizona with all the felony consenting adult sexwork related cases there is reported serious issues of getting fingerprint cleareances when applying for various professional licenses.

This is when in a plea deal the felony indictment was pled to a undesignated felony.  Some of the original felony charges are usually dismissed and others reduced to undesignated in the plea. This means after serving the typical 6 months to 2 years of probation if they were "good" they can have their felony reduced to a misdemeanor.

This is coming up especially in the Phoenix Temple case of 39 where those that pled have now completed their probation. All took pleas except the owner Tracy who is now in prison for 4.5 years.

There are many more recent cases where probation has been completed who may have the same problem.

In  a few cases (all that have contacted me) the court records are wrong and still show the original felony charges.

This is from one Temple "victim" that wants others to know the process so they don't have to waste all the time she had to go though:

The process started with my finger print clearance card. It was held up over my 3 original (felony) charges. They were dismissed however the disposition on record showed "not reported".

After weeks of research and calling around....
I did a criminal record review with DPS (Dept of Public Service).

It was easy. Go to DPS on Encanto and tell them you want to review your record. It came in the mail in 6 days. This is the formal ppwk that showed disposition as "not reported".  It should have said "dismissed."

So then I had to go to public record and obtain certified court documents showing these charges as dismissed  (27.00 each) and use that to do a "criminal record review challenge".

Once I returned those documents to DPS, they were able to update the record.   Then I was granted my finger print clearance card.

I highly recommend anyone with a record, go to DPS and ask for a review. It's free and easy.  Even if you don't need a finger print card.

I was told that many records are not accurate.

Good to do this BEFORE you have a job offer on the table etc.....

Update on fingerprint clearance timeline.
She had to file a criminal record challenge.  Here is the timeline:

They received my application on 2/2/2017. I got my card (fingerprint clearance) 5/19/2017.  Folks with no record will get their card in about 3 weeks.

Had the record been correct it would have been only 3 weeks for me.

Had I not requested a Criminal Record Review, I may have been denied (license sought).

If you get denied you have to appeal which could have taken 3-4 more months.

The investigator told me she asked the court for an update and would sit and wait and close my file on May 19th if they didn't respond.  So they do the minimum they can.  Send a request and wait.

My criminal record challenge pushed it though!
