Here is what happened.  A week ago my roommate went to do his yearly check in with the cops. Something he has 2 do since he was 22. He is almost 50now. Any how the cop first showed my roommate my record n mug shot from yrs ago n then told him to inform me 2 remove all pix of him(roommate ) from my fb. My roommate doesn't have access 2 my fb nor has fb. I'm in fl. Do the cops have this right 2 stalk me n tell me what I can post on fb? Or the right 2 share my personal information?

The probably don't.....however.....if they are going to bust your boyfriend for associated with (Perhaps) a convicted felon-which could be a violation of his parole or whatever...unless you will enjoy seeing him cuffed and stuffed-hit the delete button !  (Not a Lawyer nor do I play one on TV) !

He isn't on parole.  When he was 22 a girl was 16 said he raped her . But had no proof..they didn't even do a rape kit. It was he said she said. But his lawyer at the time told him 2 take the deal n get it over..him being young then didn't know much... now for the rest of his life he has 2 check in. 20+ yrs later he still has this hanging over him.

But I have contacted a lawyer n waiting 2 hear back

What does he have to check with the police for on the occasion you mentioned? Also, what were you busted for and how did the police have access to you Facebook?

Sex offenders have to register and check in FOREVER, which is fine in the eyes of most of us where it comes to "baby rapers" but a guy who gets convicted of statutory rape as a teenager for sleeping with his under age GF that he ends up marrying is still going to wear that very same sex offender jacket as Jerry Sandusky, and has to wear it for life.

I am assuming she was busted for prostitution, so in the eyes of LE you have a "convicted sex offender" living with a "known prostitute" and in their narrow minds this is grounds for all sorts of abuse.

I am no expert on the subject, but I suspect LE has the legal, if not moral right, to stick their noses into her business to their hearts content given the circumstances she described.

They don't have access to my fb acct. But I guess they found it n told me 2 remove pictures they didn't like. I only have 1 charge from when I was 19 . And it was for having weed in my car. Damn x let me 2 take the rap 4 it. .. N roommate yes he was 22 n she was 16

They have access to EVERYONE's social media and use it against people all the time.

The short answer to your question is YES, you can probably fight this if you want assuming neither of you are on probation/parole and you are not a convicted "felon".

That said, considering what you do for a living, do you REALLY want to make an issue out of this. Sometimes it's easier NOT to make certain stands in your life, I suspect this is one of those times.

The first sex offender law until 1994 and Sorna wasn't passed until 2006. But WTF ain't my problem.  They are both a couple of losers so they both need to find a gutter or some alley way to live.
