Visiting Question: Naples/Fort Myers/Bonita Springs

Hate asking these types of question, but here goes!

Will be visiting the area next month and spending a little extra time while I'm there. Is one area more favorable than the others? Naples seems to be a bit nicer hotels which I'm more inclined to like. Are all of those areas large enough to name the area I eventually choose in my advertising or should I be more general?

Appreciate your help!

Norah,

Naples is your best bet for a high end experience. Great beach locations, hotels, resorts, shopping and restaurants.

Ft Myers and Bonita are in a different county and is a mixed bag (IMO).

When visiting, you can attract attention from all three areas but you will enjoy visiting Naples the best.

The area of Ft. Myers, Bonita Springs and Naples is referred to as a whole as Southwest Florida. Naples is very upscale, but in terms of hotels during "season" is very pricey IMO. Ft. Myers is more blue collar, but near the airport, which is also close to the university in the area, FGCU, has newer and reasonably priced hotels. Bonita is geographically in between. Some upscale hotels and also some chain hotels that are more reasonably priced. Let me know if you have any questions since I live and work in the area.
