Pure Platinum  - Solid Gold, (Federal Highway and Oakland Park Blvds in Fort Lauderdale) has signs up and announcements going out that they will be open through the storm.  I checked with management while I was there and they seem pretty serious about it.  They've stocked up on water and food (and other drinks of course) and fueled their generator.

It may not be an end of the world orgy, but it couldn't be all that bad.  I'm back in California and wishing the best to all my friends there in South Florida. Be safe!
