Even with the fragmentation of the ad market, the bigger problem is the lack of reliable reviews. If I find a promising ad I can do a name/number/image search to determine the quality of the information in the ad, so that doesn't hold me back. But nothing has materialized to fill the void left by TER's demise in the US. When a client is deciding whether to spend hundreds of his hard-earned dollars, he wants reasonable assurance that he and the escort are compatible in terms of personality, services offered, etc. Without that assurance he has a few options he might choose: Keep seeing his regulars more than previously; Not see new providers unless/until he reaches a certain comfort level (which, if it even happens, will take more time); See more lower-priced escorts than usual, because the amount of $ at risk is less. I'm sure there are other options I haven't touched on but my main point is that the lack of quality reviews may be the biggest factor as to why clients sit on the fence.
