... you will remember there NEVER WAS an ad board. It was only Discussion Boards. People were exercising freedom of speech through discussion. Years ago, separate regional ad board were created because some people complained that boards were supposed to be discussion and had turned into merely ads. Many complained about that new policy. I find it ironic that now everyone wants them back .  

There were no ad boards, no photo boards, and only about a dozen regional boards, most of which covered western cities.  Ladies were limited to one ad post per week on any local board, and they were often relegated to page two or beyond after being up for a day at most.  Back then, ladies often had to post commentary (with their website attached) in order to get noticed.  Moderation back then was more strict as well.  Despite that, it worked.   Since I am old school, it's still commentary here on the regional and general boards that attracts my interest more than ads.  That being said, I do like the photo board, and check in there daily to see our lovely lady friends.  Here as well to the weekly theme photo posts, since I know many of the ladies here, even though I live near NYC.  Those that I know and like, get liked automatically.  TER has apparently restricted the photo board by not posting new threads yesterday or today, but left the last thread from two days ago open, and a number of smart ladies have continued posting up to a half hour ago, some for a second time.    So while it appears to be closed on the surface, not quite so if you know how to things work here.  I'll bet that the photo theme post from last week here is also still open, and that further posts can still be made, even if they aren't allowing a new theme to be opened this week.  What's to stop you from changing the theme there on last week's post, or starting a new weekly post on your own?          

Most r  Freaking out because every board that we were able to place an ad increased business. For example since all the boards went away I've seen one client. And he was a repeat and I had to give a huge discount to to make ends meet for the week

I'm not sure how much traffic or views you would receive from the ad board but you just have over 200 views Toni in One day. Most men will eventually move to this board seeing no Florida ads or any US ads for that matter. I'm sure more "in search of ads" will pop up as well.

Personally I think Toni is right, time to adapt or time to change. It might be a huge pain in the ass, but it is what it is.

Interesting information; I’ve been around since 2011 and I either didn’t know this or have just forgotten. We’ll survive, we always do!

... there was plenty of discussion and participation which allowed a person's personality to show through. It was much nicer than merely an ad.

this place is very different than it was 17 years ago when i joined. It was owned and operated by a man who some claim was abusive and ultimately went off to do some time.  We all used to know the moderators, they were regional. This forum was a place the ladies posted themed pictures. As it evolved and became less personal I stopped writing reviews and went to read only like the other boards I follow. It's rare that i would choose to post here but Toni is on message and I felt it important to support her position.  

I havent used the ad boards in months not since I moved to Ft Myers in December  
I have business and Im busy enough I havent felt the need to post on the ad board but the evolution is startling change is concerning ter p411 backpage and whos next????  I dont know how we evolve from this...

Figure out what they still have in common. Ads are great but there are a lot of other ways to connect with you favorite ladies. Discussion may just be the answer to bringing back a little bit of a sense of community. Honestly - I found the discussion boards to be as dry as a slice of day old toast most days. Maybe now it will get a little interesting.
