Maybe the days of having a moderator who actually knows and understands the workings of a local board will come back soon enough....till that day comes though.....who knows what will happen.

Hello Everyone!!

I have taken a small break from this board in light of the changes I did not 100% support. I now just really lurk, post here and there, and obviously advertise. I know that a few months have gone by and was just curious on everyone's opinion GOOD or BAD on the changes to our community. I was recently out with some friends and they seem to think this board has made a turn down a road of distaste. I am not trying to start any fights but everyone perceives things differently.
I have read some recent threads and a lot more alias' are posting. I miss the fun threads where no one really bashed anyone and started drama. But, I guess change is good right. I even thought of a fun thread to put up this am but I must admit I am pretty boring. I was going to "over play" a discussion. That has been discussed numerous times.  I was going to ask what your favorite thing to do in Florida is........living here for over a year now I just love how sunny it is and of course boating!! I am going fishing today and can't wait!!

Anyways thoughts on how the direction of this board is going is greatly appreciated!! I may start 100% participating again;) I do miss all my friends on here and the dynamic of the "old board"!!

I think the "host and hostess" positions were a flop and am happy that admin realized it wasn't their best idea.

Although I do agree 100% that bashing under an alias is not cool, quite frankly I think it is pathetic, everyone can be their self now and have fun.

I too have been checking the board now every chance I get to see what is new and exciting and am joining in more on the daily theme threads.

The discussions over the past few days are what have brought this board back to what it used to be ...NAUGHTY & EXCITING!!!

As it seems like the only thing that runs the board anymore is the "theme days", and anyone who has been here a while, knows just how much I love those threads.  They seem to be creeping up back to almost every day yet again.  

Most of the boards have slowed down to a crawl, not just this board...so as such, I keep away from most of them.

I have to agree that the single driver here seems to be the theme days...... Not sure I would say this board has not slowed a lot as well.  It used to be anything posted would most likely be off the first page in a day at the most now threads that are 3 days old are commonly on the first page....  Right now there are threads started a week ago still on the first page.  I do realise that on some of the other boards it is even slower than that...  The solution?  Not sure who has the answer to that one if anyone does....

Traveling for a living and not always able to access TER I mostly read posts to catch up.  I have never bashed anyone nor see the sense of writing derogulary (spelling?) statements about anyone.  I, too miss all the fun threads and happy times.

I was still upset about Val's thread when I saw it.

I didn't actually watch the whole thing. The beginning was enough for me.



AFTER I posted my post in THIS thread, someone called me & told me that...
it WASN'T a "whistling twat"... it was a whistling ASS HOLE.


I was NOT implying that the whistling ass hole should be deleted...
we ALL like DIFFERENT things.



It's just that I for one, do not find the whistling ass hole to be sexier
OR more "relevant" HERE... than Val's thread, that I truly loved reading &...
included one of the SEXIEST Pics I have ever seen of her.



IMO, BOTH threads should STILL be here. That is all I was trying to say.

I like theme days but it does get old.  When another topic is thrown out some take it as a chance to skewer someone else, that is what make for a bad time.  Gator Jimmy comes up with some great shit.  Maybe we all should invest a little more time trying to be creative and a little less time being negative.  DD ran a tight ship and is missed,  the new TER seems to be on auto pilot.  I know every new post is an invitation for ridicule and most do not want to take it even from perfect strangers

All you did was ask for opinions on the state of the board as it is now. Nothing wrong with that.

There may be some with negative opinions....but what people need to understand is that is human nature. It will always exist. The good and strong can't allow the negative and bad to bring them down...or make them stop trying.

Now that there is no active observation of the boards....there is more responsibility of the members to police themselves.
Hopefully the good and strong will rise to the top and set the tone.

Posts like yours are a good start in that direction.

Understand your concerns about the deterioration of the boards that have occurred since the local mods were replaced by agents across the pond that do not understand the local markets here in the USA.  TER has lost its edge, and all boards are affected.  Admin overreacted to the alias crisis that should have been averted with effective moderation.  Unfortunately, the mods were often tempted with offers they couldn't refuse, and some became corrupted.  DD wasn't among them...he laughed at the fucked up nonsense that goes on here, as you know, unless he was attacked personally.  Even then, he maintained his sense of humor...

Miss you in NYC...

I must say that the tone of the board has changed a lot. We have lost a lot of the regular contributors, including myself that made this a really interesting and fun board. I don't post much anymore as seems to be the case with a lot of the old "regular" posters. I have been "moderated" for the first time since 2006. I guess I said some things that someone didn't agree about. From what I understand, this has happened to a lot of the old "regulars" as well.

TER of course has the right to do whatever they want with the board. I was a regular contributor and I think pretty well respected. When I discovered I was "moderated", it was a slap in the face to me.

Hopefully at some point we will get back to where we used to be. A lot of us miss the fun we used to have here!!

I agree w/poster who says Alyssa is never boring.  I met her at Toni's halloween bash last fall.  She is so much fun.  I miss seeing her post more frequently.  I try to largely ignore the drama on the threads.  Eventually a person learns who the drama queens & kings are and to avoid their opening posts.  Peace.

The fact that my original reply to you is gone is why this site sucks.  You say something that you mods don't like and the post never sees the light of day.  You put authority to control what is said into the hands of thin skinned children and you have a very one sided "discussion".

And I doubt that the cowardly mods will allow this post to appear either.
