Removing my phone number from all of my ad's and websites was the best move I ever made.  You get rid of so many of the time wasters and I want an appointment right now or ASAP people.  I respect the hobbyist who take the time to email me and send all of the pertinent information through the appointment request form because you are able to contact their reference's or do you back ground check prior to making contact back with them.  Believe it or not, many of the gentleman respect providers more who do their home work just as they do on us.

Few ladies are sitting by the phone prepared to entertain anyone. Perhaps a lady who sits at her incall all day long might be interested in those types of dates. The ladies who post constant ads on backpage work that way. First come first serve. I get that many times via text and calls. Kelly is right about taking your phone number down as we have talked about before. I never just pick-up my phone so don't know why I haven't. Email is safer to get screening info and most people have smart phones now.

Also another reason is that any gentleman or lady will lose their electronics in a sting. Chances are slim but being careful is wise.

When traveling I use "Available Now" merely to let guys know I am in town and have some availability.  I too have taken down my phone number for the same reasons previously mentioned.  

I have this little superstition that usually works well.  If I'm out of town and have a slow day, all I need to do is mark myself "available now" and head down to the gym.  By the time I get down there, emails will start rolling in!  Without my phone number posted, I get very few requests that do not come through my contact form or contain screening information.  The rest are one-liners and just get a form letter asking them to fill out my contact form.

So, I know that often the "Available Now" option can be a bit misleading. As I am rarely available immediately, especially if it is a new friend that I have to complete screening for.  

When I turn my available now on, I do it with the assertion that if you reach out to me I will answer right away and will be able to meet some point that day, as long as your screening is quick and easy. I don't know why, but it seems as if a lot of the gentlemen think that we just sit around all made up in our lingerie waiting for the phone to ring. We all have lives outside of this. At the minimum, I prefer 3 hours lead time.  

I think each of us has a slightly different understanding of "Available Now", and though the concept in itself is great- I think it would be better if it was worded differently. Something like... "Accepting Sessions Today". The word now carries a bit of an unattainable idea that the gentleman can immediately hop in his car (*or you hop in yours) and go straight to each other.

I've just started reading the FL board because I'll be there in a couple of weeks and I wanted to get a feel for the scene.

As far as "Available Now"...   Generally, even though we all know this is a bit of a fantasy land, I like to have a bit of a real relationship before an actual meeting.  Certainly screening info is essential information I'd want to share before a meeting.  But, a little email banter for a few days or weeks in advance, maybe even a pre-meeting telephone call increases the anticipation and excitement for me!  And, I'd like to believe that instead of me being just a next client, some pre-meeting email or real conversation might just make our meeting a bit more special for the person I'm meeting.  All of which is to say that personally I'm not especially interested in "Available Now".
