If you were planning on visiting the club on two consecutive days (during the week, late April), would you recommend staying in Frankfurt or Darmstadt?
I'm making my first trip to Germany and this would be first time visit to a FKK club. Will be staying in Munich three days prior and Berlin three days afterward. Sharks visit is the focal point of the two days sandwiched in between.
Frankfurt would seem to have more to offer outside of the club, however I've also seen it described as a soulless banking center, without much to offer culturally. Do not see a lot of information on Darmstadt and what it has to offer, but is much more convenient to the club.
Would greatly appreciate perspectives from experienced travelers. Thank you!
I've done both. As you said, there isn't anything to really see or do in Darmstadt. If you are staying in Darmstadt, it allows you to be much more flexible and is more convenient, especially if you just plan on staying at the club all day and late into the night two days in a row.
If you stay in Frankfurt, you have more options as far as things to do and more restaurants if you weren't planning on being at the club all day. Keep in mind though, if you don't have a car the last train leaves from Darmstadt Nord (station closest to Sharks) at around 1015-1030 at night and the last train back to Frankfurt from Darmstadt HBF (10 min cab ride away) is around 1230 am. So, unless you have a car you may end up leaving earlier than you want to.
When I stayed in Frankfurt, I got to the club soon after opening and stayed until 11pm or so and when I stayed in Darmstadt I was able to stay a little later. From what I remember, I preferred being there earlier vs later. The girl to guy ratio dwindled the later it got from what I recall.

Even if Darmstadt is not the epicenter of excitement, did you think it was a nice town to hang out if you just wanted some down time? Since this part of my trip is sandwiched in between Munich and Berlin, I figure I may want to just chill out anyway.
If you are looking to just chill out and want the convenience I would stay in Darmstadt. It is definitely a nice enough small town to just hang out in. I've never been, but there is a museum, a small castle, and enough taverns in town to find some good German beer. Looking on wikitravel, there even appears to be a local brewery in town.
Keep in mind, even if you do stay at the club most of the day, it doesn't have to be a nonstop fuck fest. When I've been all day I may have had three or four sessions at most the entire day. You can go there and just enjoy the scenery, get a massage, eat some decent food, enjoy the pool if it's open, or simply just take a nap which I have done. Also, you can leave and come back the same day if you feel like you need to get out of there for a bit.
Enjoy your time there. It's the closest thing to heaven on earth that I can think of.

I would agree, the Ibis hotels (a normal Ibis and an Ibis budget right next to each other) are walkable distance really. Real close by are Hotel Pallas and Hotel Contel. If you are only going for the club I'd just stay closeby and spend most of the day there. As mentioned above, you don't have to be having sex all the time. Staying 12+ hours is par for the course.

Question on attire. Since I'm traveling light, I won't really be packing a suit or anything very dressy. If you showed up wearing good denim and a button down shirt, would that be tacky? First time to Germany, so I'm not sure how formal people dress there. Definitely don't want to be the ugly American.

It doesn't matter, because within five minutes of walking in the door you will be in a robe and slippers. However, denim and a button up shirt are fine to show up in.
Relax and enjoy yourself. The best advice I have is to not rush into a session and pace yourself. When you get into the main area of the club, it can be a little overwhelming so at first just sit back and take it all in. Grab a drink at the bar, a bite to eat, or just relax on the couch for a bit. Have fun!

Sorry, another follow up question. This might be another dumb one, but want to plan properly.
I'm assuming I'm paying in cash for everything so do you simply get handled a bathrobe with pockets where you can keep your cash/wallet with you at all times? I guess I was visualizing either that or they give you a locker to put all your stuff in.
Also, if I'm actually going to be there a while and decide on a second act with another girl...what if I want to brush my teeth?

All the clubs that I went to...I.e. Sharks, Oase, Mainhattan all had the same setup. There is a small locker near the desk where you keep your wallet, money, cellphone etc and you pay the girls in cash for the sessions after the session for the agreed upon amount for services rendered from your money in small locker. I did not use a credit card...so I don't know if you can use a credit card for the girls services....I paid in cash....maybe someone else can advise if the clubs will take a credit card for the girls services?????

Just to add, in clubs that only provide you with a large locker in the dressingroom, the girl will walk with you and wait for you to get the money. The girls are 100% cash only, some clubs have ATMs and a few let you take cash with your creditcard... but they will charge a horrible exchange rate or just extra fees. Best is to make sure you have enough before you arrive, although the fee for using a debit card (only with 4 digit PIN in Europe) is probably reasonable.

In the major clubs the rate is 50 for 30 minutes. So for two 1 hour sessions you would need 200E+entry fee.
