Then there was a bar close to the marine base that was offering a $50,000 prize for anyone who could satisfy 25 women on stage without stopping.  One brave marine showed up and took the challenge.  He'd been on extended tour without female companionship so he thought he could take the prize!  He easily got through the first dozen or so.  He began to struggle mightily around number 20 and just couldn't get past number 22.  An heroic effort to say the least.  He was totally dejected in the post show interview.  When the announcer asked him what went wrong his response was telling,  
"I just don't understand it!  I really don't.  Everything went perfectly well during dress rehearsal this afternoon!"
