Hi Everybody,
I just started in the hobby a little over a week ago. The Newbie board encourages us to get involved posting on the Regional Boards, and therefore I was wanting to connect to the guys and gals in the DFW area. I'm a bit confused, though, about the postings that I see on this Board. From what I can tell, most posts appear to be something along the lines of "hey, I'm coming into town on such-and-such-a-day, anybody available?" So is the purpose of the Board instead more of one for advertising and solicitation? If so, that's fine; I'll just stick with the Newbies. Thanks for the clarification.So you might want to try looking at the topics in General Discusion and elsewhere.
For the most part, regional boards tend to be geared towards last minute trysts and such. However, don't be afraid to make your own splash!

Thanks for the response, Adrienne. At least I can say that one person in the area responded to me. ;+) What's the community like in DFW? Do most clients live in the area, or do the majority simply swoop in for a few days on business and then leave? In other words, are the majority of your (and other providers') clients regulars, or are they out-of-towners? Since I'm new, it'd be nice to find someone who's familiar with the ladies in the area and can direct me to those who work well with newbies. I don't mean to offend or judge, but I'm guessing that not every lady who says she's "newbie friendly" is actually good for a newbie. There's a complicated mix of emotions in a newbie that takes an understanding hand, I think. Thanks again.

It's a mix of folks. I was based in Dallas for several years so my reputation with the local guys speak for itself. In fact, I am newbie friendly and I plan on making a quick visit at the end of this month.

Adrienne is correct. the Dallas regional board is one of the slower boards and there really isn't enough traffic here to generate any actually "discussion"
My first suggestion for finding "newbie friendly" girls in DFW would be to join P 411, there are several "newbie friendly" girls on the site, and once you get a couple of okays, screening will be a breeze. The girls on P 411 also have ALL of their reviews linked to their profiles, not just the ones on TER and that will make your research to see if they are a "good fit" for you all that much easier to do.
If you'd like to engage in actual discussion, I would suggest you post on both the Newbie board and the General Discussion board, both of which are national boards and attract a lot more people. One thing to keep in mind though. On the Newbie board, "there are no dumb questions" and everyone will be rather nice and polite to you. I make no such promises about the GD board. Oftentimes the most innocent of questions will garner some VERY snarky answers, as they say "it is what it is"
Welcome to the board, Dallas is full of great ladies and is one of the best towns in the country for a guy to find himself some "company" without breaking the bank.

I've been spending some time on the Newbie board over the last couple of weeks. You might recall my recent post ("anxiety issues"). I am on P411, the process of which was surprisingly easy and straightforward, given that I'm new. I really appreciate how veterans such as yourself are so willing to help. It has made, and continues to make, a real difference to us newbies. I visited my first lady last weekend, and I tried to follow the advice that I read on the board. Some things went well, and other things were a learning experience, but I gained more confidence because of it.
My goal is to meet ladies in the area who want to make a connection with me during my time with them and who don't see me as just a client. I look forward to the journey. Thanks again for the welcome.

I think you will find what you are looking for here, Dallas is one of the best "hobbying cities" in the country based on both price and selection. Remember to ask for "okays" from the P 411 ladies you see, once you get a handful of okays, screening will be a breeze.
I post on a lot of boards including the K-Girl, LA and LV boards which might have given you the idea I live on the West Coast. Ironically I am originally from CA, but I haven't actually lived there in decades.

Haha, thanks... I think. I find it curious that everyone's so quiet on here. Even the MN board is more active. Must be something in the water up there. It's almost like there are only a couple of "hobbyist" (dumb word, btw) in town. I know that can't be the case; there are so many gorgeous ladies to choose from. Thanks for the offer of advice. No doubt I'll take you up on it in the near future.
