Lots of mingling, a nice smattering of catered food, a plethora of booze brought by all sorts of folks. Things can get a bit segregated (providers talking with other providers, hobbyists with other hobbyists), but there's always opportunity for you to approach ladies should you want to meet them before booking with them. You might be able to book then and there, but then you'd have to head elsewhere for your date.  

The event is always pretty low-key and a lot of fun.  Kwasi has a very low tolerance for chicanery of any type, and has always been a very warm and congenial host.

I attended last spring and there was nothing at any point I felt unsafe. Ladies and gentleman can enjoy drinks and conversation together. There's no 'appointments ' going on basically an a networking event.
