But since everyone else is being serious.

My favorite thing about Christmas is simple but difficult for us adults to grasp.

Wonderment

Not sure how to define it. The ingredients however are a mixture of everything mentioned thus far. But yet , it can't be manufactured. It's organic. And sadly an experience difficult to obtain the older we get. Often the best we can do is muster up a childhood memory of the feeling .

The good news is wonderment can be contagious . Easiest contracted from children who are exceptionally susceptible .

So I hope it the midst of all the noise, stress , rush , pressure etc....  all of us somehow enjoy a brief moment of wonderment.

I'm also quite appreciative of the shopping mall Santa's who surround themselves with sexy little helpers !
Now that I think of it I'll gladly settle for the " wonderment " of Sasha Stolin in a sexy elf outfit !

What's your favorite thing this time of year?  Is it the cooler weather?  The music?  The food? The shopping? Decorating?

My fav thing of all time
All of my children together with laughter and hugs

The weather and the presents! The songs are very catchy too and every year I try to learn a few lines.

I can't say I have any Xmas memories with the family because we never celebrated it growing up in a former communist country.

I'd say family, but I don't normally see them during the holiday months due to less that favorable weather conditions up north

The cool weather, 40s-50s, overcast sky with humidity in the 60-80% range, feels fantastic. Windows down and heater on. Seeing family is good, but my immediate family is close so it's nothing unusual. Seeing my nieces tear into their presents is amusing. Reminds me of being a kid and doing the same.

NC winters have been mild the last few decades. I remember getting 2 feet, sled ridding with my friends. Imagine a pack of 8 year olds trying to chase away the snow plow. A snowball hits the drivers window. The truck stops and the door cracks open. We ran in terror. :)

Too much drama usually...My favorite holiday is Halloween.  I like the food and giving gifts to family and friends though.

from on of my  neighbors house! :-/ Plus my family got A LOT smaller this time last year, which makes me want to be EXTRA close to my father and other family members this year. And of course my friends in this sexy little world here that reach out to me this time of the year for some holiday cheer BCD! ;-)

That rare moment after everyone else is asleep, the fire is burning low, and you can sit with your feet on the hearth and sip a drink while holiday music by someone like Karen Carpenter plays softly in the background.  Cold and darkness outside, but you're warm and toasty inside, just at peace with everything and everything at peace.

It doesn't happen every year which is what makes it so treasured when it does.

who saw to it that I never went without----sure, the material things, but most of all,  the memories of a LOVE in keeping with the true meaning of CHRISTmas:)). "LOVES PURE LIGHT"--- the best gift that I ever got, and it took me years to understand:))
