Hello Greydog1959, I think a Dinner Date is an excellent Choice. However, if the person you are suggesting this too does not have the funds, it may not be a good first date. I personally love them, yet I am no where close to Raleigh and probably not in your age range.
May I suggest just looking on some of Eros's ladies who have been here for a while who seem to offer this a favorite. I have included a link for Angelique in Greensboro, NC because I think she is great. I too love the Dinner Date. Mine starts at a price for $900, yet I offer an overnight special for $1000, which means, I would just to spent more time together. Some of my Dinner Date Specials have been $750. because who knows for the first time where it is going to go. You are correct.........The price range he is looking at will barely cover the hotel room and Dinner. Yet, you never know who maybe sitting at home one night and would like to go out for a discounted rate. It surely does not hurt to put the question out there and see what kind of response it gets...Thanks so much! He said he could spend $250-$300. I told him he was not even in the ballpark.
Aside from his clueless pricing what is the correct etiquette for finding a provider and inviting them to join us?

I usually have dinner dates w/my favs - it's a nice dinner preceding our session, which is always 2-3 hours. I just pay for the session - and the dinner (obviously) - I don't pay for her time while dining

Yeh, I do have to agree with Mr.M.Johnson. I put myself in the other person's shoes of not ever seeing a provider before. It would be........ I think overwhelming for him if he is shy. Have not heard from the other person, so no one really knows where he is coming from.
I know we all try to look out for our friends. That says a lot for you. You seem like a very kind person who has a big heart. Thinks of others is a very nice quality.

I concur with some of the feedback that the other ladies have expressed about his funds for hobbying.
However, if he's new to the hobby. BUT you're more seasoned? With perhaps well known providers?
Then perhaps, (as I have done this in the past with a well regarded hobbyist I've known/seen for quite some time.) Perhaps, you might try talking to one of the providers you've seen and ask your guy friend as well. And perhaps, introduce him into the hobby by way of a 3 Sum. It doesn't have to be hard core or a long session. In case you men are shy.
Some ladies, who've seen you enough times, can gauge whether or not you're a trustworthy guy. And such, those ladies or lady, might be more willing to meet him first (with you present) bcd. Before going on an extended dinner date.
Give it thought. Everyone was new to the hobby at some point.
