Would you take the chance?

Today on "Would You Risk It?"

Suppose there were a well-regarded local agency that you'd used once or twice, and developed a really good rapport with one of the women who visited from out-of-state.  Now suppose that agency disappeared overnight, not by choice if you know what I mean.  All of the women who worked with them also disappeared.

A few months later the person with whom you had a good rapport resurfaces under a new identity as a traveling independent.  She has a few recent reviews under her new name from reputable-seeming reviewers.  Would you take the chance and book with her again as an independent?  Or would you worry that her privacy and communications might be compromised and steer clear?

Agencies are often a target and independents much less so.  I have seen a few that meet the circumstances you describe.

I would not seek out those that have been indicted.

I'd still check with this girl's reviewers.  How do you know they are "seemingly reputable?"  If they are known to you and others in the community, have a history of reliable reviews and are willing to vouch for her in response to a PM, then I'd say you have little to fear.
As Analis said, LE has little interest in going after indy girls.  It's just not worth their time and effort.

To answer the question about "seemingly reputable" reviewers, the reviewers I'm talking about each have between 10 and 30 other reviews stretching back months or years, including reviews of well-known local figures.

before they take your booking photo.
Are you crazy? Odds are that she's taking the risk because she really needs the money (duh), but I'd have to imagine that she's being watched. If not actively watched, there's more of an awareness of her activities.
This risk is on you, since it's the clients that they're really after, not the providers.

If you followed the case you would know that the only indictments were with the principals of the group.  No basic clients have so far been indicted.

I had an experience like this once.

A gal who worked at an MP got busted there, she was watching the store for the owner who had just "stepped out"  (i.e. got tipped off) and my friend got felony charges, which she somehow managed to get pleaded down to misdemeanors and got off with probation.

So,  you'd think she would be watched like a hawk, right?   Well, I continued to see her at motels or my home just a few months after she cleared the CJ system and had nary a scrape with LE.   I knew her for years (still do), and wasn't about to toss her aside.

Maybe just dumb luck, but fortunately LE has a short attention span sometimes.

I agree.. the AG is onto the principals.. There is a girl from the same situation, that if she surfaced.. I would see her in a second... no worries.. nothing illegal in having a cup of coffee with someone is there? then two adults.. and things progress..  a number of active girls here have had past issues and we have forgotten about the problem.. and Mr. Fisher said,,, a short attention span.. big fish..

If I am picking up what you are putting down I had the same internal struggle .. went for it as an independent and it was fine ... lady is now with an agency again with new new name...
That has me worried again but not sure why

I had the same opportunity/situation happen to me and I'm not touching that potential cluster fuck with Peter North's pole.  There are far too many ways it can go sideways in a hurry.
