I don’t bitch about much..... well, that’s not necessarily true! Lawyers, (especially those that become politicians), obesity, yankee drivers and political correctness run amuck.
But, I’m gonna whine about Winter right now......1. The ladies wear too many clothes!
2. Cooking on the grill diminishes.
3. Rains more, and gets muddier
4. I look DAMN good in shorts
5. I like Christmas, but the Christmas Season shouldn’t start the day after Halloween! for Christ sakes, even Jesus would be pissed about all the mercantilism!!
6. Frost on car, power outages and snow..... (if the snow lasts more the 24 hours) I’d rather fight 2 lb. mosquitoes then shovel 2 ft of snow. Let’s see if more agree, or disagree. I would love somebody to give me anfew goodnreasons to actually like winter! Please! MountNjoy

While the weather DOES make me miserable, there is something so sexy about undressing layer by layer... as you get from one silhouette down to the very beautiful one hidden underneath coats, sweaters, etc.
I can agree with you on holiday creep, no grilling, and the many inconveniences... somehow I get over it all! I personally find that the winter time does more to bring people together and people seem to be happier at gatherings during the holidays than any other time of year.
And it helps that my birthday is in December- peak gift giving season!
And absolutely nothing feels as good as a breast that has been snuggled away under a sweater. Well ...... one thing: the time we had sex on the condo balcony at the ski lodge.
My only regret is that Autumn and spring are too short.
First off, Summer heat can get old after a while. Sweating, being too hot to be outside during the day, or the unbearable humidity that makes everything stick to you. Not fun.
Over the years, I've become more of a fan of Winter, and especially here in Atlanta. Here's what changed my mind:
1 Sunny skies and low humidity. It's just more comfortable on most Winter days and the skies are much bluer. Some of the most beautiful days of the year are the slightly warmer than average days during Winter.
2 Cozy nights with a fire and a glass of Cabernet. I'm a bit of a homebody; I like to stay home, go down to my man cave, sit next to my girl and cozy up with each other. In summer, you can end up sweating half to death trying to do that.
3 Gas is cheaper than electricity. My heating bills are a lot less than my cooling bills.
4 Winter is becoming a bit of a vanishing commodity. I'm not here to start a political argument, but even the most rabid climate change denier has to admit, it's getting warmer just about everywhere these days. It was pretty hot here even in October. We only get a few months of truly cool, refreshing weather, so you might as well enjoy it, right?
5 The best holidays come in late Fall, early Winter. You also get more time off during this period. Most people don't work terribly hard the week of Thanksgiving or Christmas, and sometimes even the week after Christmas. Plus, the city is really pretty and a lot of fun with holiday parties, lights, events, etc.
6 Hey, it's Atlanta, not Fargo, right?? Winter here is almost like an extended New England Fall. Plus, with all of the Pine
trees we have, it's not the brown and grey that a lot of the North and Midwest experience. The average January high is 52, which isn't exactly what most people consider a nasty Winter, right?
7 Women's legging and tights. There's just something about seeing a woman with great legs in a pair of black, form-fitting tights that's just... well, you know. Sometimes the right view can lead me to reach out to a provider. lol
8 Fondue. Just wait for the first really cold night and head to your favorite Fondue place and load up. You'll be pining for Winter come July.
