Cumberland and Galleria area would be my recommendation. Convenient to 75 and 285, close to the city and the NW OTP counties and the traffic isn't usually as bad as the ever popular Perimeter location.

Several very good properties near the intersection of I-75 and I-285 in the vicinity of the new Braves stadium....This is on the north side of Atlanta.
Nice hotels plus it is close to home for me.
