Wondering if I would get any benefit from signing up for twitter. Do any of you guys use it in a hobby context and are there lots of ladies on that would make it worth while ?

There are several hobby benefits. Some ladies are now using social media instead of traditional advertising. Some show their face on Twitter, but not on their own website or ads. Ladies seem to post their tour schedules on Twitter before P411 or TER. Some have also decided to delist here because of the new review guidelines, so social media is the best way to see them. Also the ladies retweet each other's posts, so you can easily find new prospects. Finally, I rarely ever look at the photo board anymore since there's a nearly unlimited supply of provider pics on my Twitter feed from ladies I want to want to see, with none from those that I don't.

thanks for the info.  Is your twitter name any relation to your TER handle or something totally unrelated?

I don't want comments I post here connected to other social media posts.

Social media has a way of inveigling all aspects of your on-line life and this can cause walls to come tumbling down.

Think long and hard about using any social media when you are in this hobby.

for many of the reasons mentioned above, tours, more pictures, clients can get a glimpse of my personality, interact with each other, we can see also things that clients like and enjoy.
I do have instagram but don't use it as much... twitter is my to go always for any updates, tour, availability daily, where I am hosting at the moment, and much more!

How do you remain anonymous on twitter? Is it even possible to have anonymity on twitter?

make sure you never sync your contacts from twitter platform, some people just use twitter from a different device.. or you can use it from your commuter instead of your cell.
I personally use my cell but I am very careful with sync contacts and with the privacy settings.

I like to follow gal's that are on twitter because of the insight it can provide into their personality, how they feel about their clients, etc....it is very telling !

I agree completely !
I've realized some are BSC and others that are true sweethearts through their posts. A  very useful tool in deciding on a lady for sure !

If you sign up for twitter or instagram, MAKE A PRIVATE ACCOUNT.

Both of those services are social media and they ---automatically--- make suggestions with your picture/icon INCLUDED about "who to follow". These can be background linked to your facebook or other things and I don't know any way to control this or turn it off. I've seen "suggestions" pop up for people I know in real life, and you don't want that!!

Since you want to see, but not be seen (do you care about "followers"?), just make the account private.

On top of that, on instagram, I don't put anything that would unambiguously point to me.

Apart from these concerns, both services are great. The "twitter heauxs", as they call themselves sometimes, are interesting, witty, and are cleverly establishing a new marketing platform. Of course, it all lacks reviews, but most of them have pee four accounts that often link back to a review site.

Someday, I think this will be a full fledged alternative way to meet ladies, complete with referrals/private "reviews" from their followers, much like PM's on TER serve in the same way.

For now, it's entertaining, and some really hot photos. I've yet to meet a woman simply from twitter, but it has certainly been a component in planning for the future.

There is quite a bit of TER "Bashing" on Twitter.   Once you get on it-start following some gals-you'll quickly figure it out !

so, I signed up for an account with a false name and an email account that does not link back to anything on google.  I know what some of you are saying about the tentacles of the internet, so I tried to take as much precaution as possible.
I searched for the twitter accounts of some of my favorites and was almost instantly rewarded with more suggestions for other ladies.  I saw photos of ladies that surprised me. One is a lady I have known for a long time and I saw pics I had never seen before.  Great stuff
What I found that I didn't expect was the unvarnished opinions of some ladies. ie. political leanings , that I'm sure they would never share on TER for fear of alienating clients.  Quite revealing.
Also, what I did not see was anything that would incline me to spend a lot of time on that site.
thanks for everyone's input

My feeling is that the hobby should be an opinion-free zone, at least with regards to politics and religion (Why they have such a board here is beyond me.) and possibly other ethical and aesthetic topics.

Let's face it:   We are here to have sex and a good time with each other.

I can recall at least two gals who I liked a lot but ultimately got turned off to on account of their opinions about certain topics.   I sort of hate the fact that such things sway me, but there we are.

By ranting and raving on forums like Twitter, you can be doing harm to your business or chances of seeing that hot gal you really want to see.

Who needs it?    (Apparently, a lot of you do.)

to the twitter thing just joined earlier this month.

I've been on twitter for a few years now, but I use a separate account for the hobby.  I've also noticed an increase in the number of providers who are on twitter, as well as some agencies, and I see verification services like RS-AVS and P411 tweeting too.  I think it's a good resource for providers to market themselves, as long as they're careful in regards the content of their tweets, since it is a public social network.

As for anonymity, if you're on the internet, you've already given up a great deal of your anonymity already even if you're not on social media.  Although, I also use a reliable VPN service for an additional layer of security, especially when using the internet for hobby related activities.

I've recently joined twitter as a provider and I have noticed over the past couple of months that it also used as a way to "bond" with other providers. That's why you might see post or threads that are more "telling" about a provider than you would on a discussion forum or from her personal blog. I think twitter allows the providers to be more "real" about what is happening in the industry and they are able to get support from other providers. However I do agree with the clients, Twitter should be a positive platform for advertising, and it should draw more clients to a provider than chase them away.

Helpful Hint:

If two providers are arguing on Twitter it is best to stay out it, it just creates more drama for the provider and the client.

Twitter gives you a more rounded picture of a provider's personality, if you're interested in personality. Some providers just post pics, but there are alot who participate a broad range of topics beyond what you find on TER. (Some profound, some random.) I am able to tune-out the angry and BSC ones.

I've also learned that I need a bag of cash and a week in Chicago & Washington because there are so many fine, funny & smart women there ... Still trying to implement that newfound knowledge.

Do keep your accounts separate. I have a work Twitter account that only lives on my phone & iPad. I would never let my "play" account near my work account. I've actually become better at using Twitter for my Biz because ... of my play activities. At least, that's mt rationalization

I have to use Twitter for my work and so I'd be too paranoid about being outed to be active with a private account. But I can see where the value is if you don't have a public persona that you need to protect.

PROS of using Twitter
It is similar to being active on hobby boards; ladies get to know you and you will find an occasional lady reaching out
There is a lot of cross-recommendation going on, so you'd discover some ladies you might not encounter otherwise

CONS of using Twitter
It can drive you crazy if you don't put in the time to learn it. There are a lot of conventions like how you direct message someone that can be embarrassing if you do it wrong (such as sending a message to someone you didn't intend to)

I don't have a twitter a/c but my previous ATF turned me on to it.  It was a key part of her business.

Many providers nowadays have a "follow me on twitter" link on the ads or verification site profiles.  That takes you to their page.  Twitter will pop up and ask you to sign in or set up an a/c, but it is not necessary.  Simply decline and as long as the twitter profile is not restricted (maybe 1 out of 10), you can access the page.  Here is why it is great.

A ladies twitter profile will allow you (potentially) to see a very recent candid photo of the lady.  It will give you a chance to see what she looks like on a typical day.

Also, if you scroll down to see who has posted on her twitter page, you can click on that person and jump to other profiles.  The process is interesting, and it has allowed me to stumble across providers that I had no knowledge of.  In a sense, it is like clicking from provider ad to provider ad.

Lastly, if you're interested, twitter allows you to get a feel for a ladies opinion on various matter.  Remember however, young and smok'in hot is not the same thing as mature.  I personally don't pay much attention.

I don't see twitter as part of my real life.  But for this hobby, it is where all the young ladies are at.  I am definitely planning a hobby a/c there.  The benefits are pretty obvious to me.

I'm relatively new to twitter myself and I love it. It's a great way for hobbyist to keep up with me on what I'm doing throughout my day and week. Also, upcoming travels or even interesting topics to engage in.
