the future of ED treatment?

I know ED is a topic on the minds of many men over 60 because they may be having trouble now and almost all men over 60 to prepare for what may be a future problem. I have been keeping up with new developments:
Studies being done in France and those beginning the US have focused on ultrasound treatment of ED.
Much of ED is caused by local vascular insufficiency involving the arteries that vascularize the penis.  Apparently studies have suggested that certain ultrasound frequency waves used to treat the penis cause neovascularization (new artery formation) in the penis. New vessels, new blood flow, new erections where there were none.
I will keep following.

What's the frequency Kenneth?

Thanks for the techno report on this.  Good stuff to know.

Now, for the obligatory song:

thanks to all the progress we now have so many old men walking around with a boner and absolutely no Idea what to do with it...

Hi Dr Joe: I went to a clinic in Las  Vegas. They check you with ultra sound to see if you have god blood flow. The procedure is called Swiss Wave. they explain it then comes the sticker shock $5000.
the treatment is 2 times a week for about six weeks, the as needed over 6 months. Word of warning there is no guarantee. They will teat you another 6 months if it fails the first time. After that?

Anyone interested the web site is www.swisscure.org. the Las Vegas number is 702-754-6114. They have a hotline number 702-488-4884. I don't know if there any clinics out of state.

Hope this helps Good luck if you go for a 'bionic dick'.

Good lord what a rip off.

I looked at the instruments they use.  It is basically a pneumatic hammer.   Air pressure shoots a metal cylinder toward the end where it runs into a steel plate that is up against your skin.  The steel/steel collision causes a shockwave (actually there  is some dispute if it reaches the energy differential of a shockwave, but nevertheless a strong impulse.)

They do this at about half a dozen sites around your dick.  Doing about 1000 shocks each location.  Twice a week.  Six weeks.  The energy is 0.09J/mm^2.   Which is not exactly high power.

I read one paper where they tried massage units versus these other instruments.  Unfortunately the massage units did not reach nearly the same impulse energy level.

But still considering the simplicity of the instrument and the easy application of the protocol, they must rake in the money for that treatment.

ED is a frustrating and common problem but I think like many things it is an easy answer for most. I think breakthroughs in treating ED are terrific! Thanks Dr. Joe for keeping us updated. I do however know that as time goes on very little works the way it used to from social media to the way I glide out of bed in the early morning rather than jumping out.

I like older gentleman because you have come to appreciate the journey and not the destination. So many of my dates with seasoned and sweet gentleman have been terrific because there is simply a focus on pleasure and not just from one source. Conversation, dinner, attentiveness, touching kissing. I tend to stress the journey and not the destination. When you relax and enjoy the pleasure of the moment...it's a terrific experience!

For me, it is not one aspect or the other but both. I am trying to address physical issues, with some success, but at the same time learning as you say to more deeply appreciate the journey as well as the destination. Your reply gives me some hope that there might be partners out there who can appreciate this. Thanks.
