60 and Over

Do we develop STD immunity with age?

I recently turned 61 and for various reasons, I thought I should get an STD checkup. Fortunately, my checkup provided me with a clean bill of health.

But it has gotten me to thinking: how can we engage in all of these un-protected experiences and stay clean?

In my hobbying career, I did not engage in any unprotected activities until I was 55 but over the last 6 years, I've had GFE experiences with more than 100 different ladies. Never BBFS, but DFK, BBJ, DATY and recieved rimming.

Everything I have read says there is no immunity but I also don't think anyone is really studying the issue. Who would fund it?

I'm at a bit of a cross-roads. I am still happily married and want to stay that way. I am wondering if I should consider myself lucky for the last 5 years and switch back to non-GFE activities.

Does anyone have any similar thoughts or experiences

There is no such thing as immunity from STDs. You maybe lucky so far but you are always at risk. It's a growing problem:

"STD transmission among the elderly is unfortunately a common and growing problem. For example, between 2007 and 2011, chlamydia infections among Americans 65 and over increased by 31 percent, and syphilis by 52 percent. Most caregivers are surprised because they never imaged sexually transmitted diseases to be one of the many issues they could encounter when caring for an elderly loved one. After hearing the bad news the caregiver’s first question is usually “how did this happen”?"

You may be lucky the rest of your life. Your wife can come back from the MDs office and your happy marriage may not be anymore. It's your choice to take chances and keep secrets.

I wil say my wife and I have swung with some couples where both partners are MDs. Oral was uncovered but anything else was wrapped up. No rimming. We also get out std tests together twice a year.

...like crazy because they know they can't get pregnant so they don't consider the possibility of STDs.

Among my RL interests is an association with a nursing home, so none of this is news to me.

The philosophy of many homes now is to give the clients more control over their lives to increase the quality of their lives and make them happier.

I'm looking forward to moving in some day

Well why not? Those nurses are pumping just about every other prescription drug into the old-timers.

Actually, in a nursing home, I have a feeling that BBFS is defined as a HJ without her wearing an examination glove

Lots of priests and nuns are sexually active too. I've always wondered about the prevalence of STD's and pregnancy for them. Of course the church is not about to publish that information.

Funny that you mention swinging. The reason I decided to get tested is that I was watching an episode of High Maintenance on HBO and an older swinger discovered he had chlamydia while soaping himself in the shower; that made me curious about chlamydia symptoms and led me to get tested.

Are Seniors More Prone to STDs?

Growing older and wiser doesn’t make people any less susceptible to communicable diseases. In fact, age tends to make people more rather than less susceptible to disease. Simply put, as we grow older our immune systems tend to weaken, and we therefore become more prone to infection. Plus, there are other aging-related health issues that can complicate matters—everything from heart disease to liver damage to diabetes to whatever else you can think of. Making matters worse is the fact that STDs can be asymptomatic for lengthy periods, meaning they often go untreated. This is bad news on three fronts. Firstly, it increases the odds of passing the STD along to some other unsuspecting soul. Secondly, while the body is busy (quietly and invisibly) fighting an STD, other opportunistic infections can take root and/or worsen. Thirdly, when a senior citizen visits his or her healthcare professional about age-typical aches and pains, an STD test probably isn’t the first or even second order of business for that clinician and patient.

that is directly related to eating pussy.  It's from the HPV virus, so no, there's no immunity.  And the HPV virus can be dormant for years before finally causing problems for a guy.  Please ask all your women if they've had the HPV vaccine and encourage them to get it.

That can mean so many different things and certainly not BBFS.. There is no standard at all.
