FWIW on ED aids...

This seems to be a perennial topic, so I will relate a recent conversation with my highly respected urologist, FWIW:  I told him viagra, cialis, and levitra, were helpful but not totally so.  I had also tried Muse (?) and he said, "not very good."  He said, "consider trying Tri Mix.  It works.  What we do is give you a tutorial on the injection, which is easy and painless, and then check the result.  Then a follow up session in which you do the injection yourself and we make sure you're doing it right.  Results:  excellent."  I'm tempted.  Comments?

Why don't you go for it and let us know the results that you obtain?  Seems you have nothing to lose and a lot to gain !  This sounds like the injection it is reported that Ted Kennedy used  during his later years-many years ago !

Thanks for the useful comments.  Right now, I've found a friend who does a creative workaround that winds my clock and I'm good for now.  It's nice to know that at my advanced age there are still attractive options.  No use whinging about the great old days, if it's still a mind blowing trip I'm thankful for as long as it lasts.

Following prostate surgery I had zero luck with any of the pills so went with the tri-mix.  Yes, it works.  It's not actually that bad shooting up your own johnson, although having the nurse do it first was "interesting".  You have to mess around with the dosage a bit to get it right.  Remember those warnings about erections lasting more than 4 hours, that's a real possibility with this.  The first time I had that happen I finally cured it by taking some antihistamines, as directed, and that works well.  So, if you're thinking of a multi-hour double date this is for you!  The only other comment is that the "quality" of the erection is different.  I don't know how to say it other than that.  Fortunately, my functionality has returned although at 65 it's not like it was when I was 40 or even 50.  I recall the comment someone made about the old Yugos, that they were as reliable as a pensioner's erection.  There's also the great Richard Pryor line complaining about his aging erections, that when he was younger his cock was harder than Chinese arithmatic.

I currently have a 20 mg Levitra prescription. I am suppose to split the pill in 2 but about a year ago it began to fail me so I began taking the entire 20mg. I have always experienced tremendous stomach agony, a burning sensation. I tell myself to suck it up and enjoy. The problem now is that when I am lucky I can not maintain an erection long enough to enjoy a romantic experience before I lose the erection. That is about 25% of the time. The other 75% of the time I cannot even achieve an erection.  With all that being said, I am very interested in the trip-mix injections but I am very concerned about needles.  I do admit I need all the help I can get, but... !!!

Please more feedback.

and I've never heard of them before.  Does Viagra give you the same side effects?  My only problems with Viagra are minor ones: nasal congestion treatable with Afrin, facial flush, and vision going slightly blue.

...several discussions about this subject on this board. Try using the search function and go back 900 days or more.

He has been a Type 1 diabetic for over 30 years.. He says that the standard ED drugs quit working so now he has to "be prepared"..
He says it is how he functions when he has to... Makes me glad that a 25MG Viagra always does the trick for me..

there is a national shortage of papavarine.  We haven't been able to obtain it in the hospital for quite some time now.   LOL

Any data out there?

I know YMMV, but I would suspect mine would not cover the cost until I reach my $4,000 deductible.

Just curious

Mine cost $50 per vial, which lasted for 6-7 injections.  The potency only lasts for about a month and because these are mixed by compounding pharmacies and mailed to you I found that sometimes the potency was absent, made me wonder if they weren't sending me H2O and charging me for the drugs.  Had one encounter with a very hot provider and got no response from Mr. Happy at all, very disappointing.  But most deliveries were fine.  And no insurance.

Thanks for the information.......

One day after playing, I forgot to put the vials of tri mix back in the freezer. I went to the Pharmacy the next day and ask if I should still use what was left, actually a lot of it was left. The guy told me, don't worry about it. He said that the stuff can come through room temp all day and it doesn't go bad. Now this was from a licensed  Pharmacist who is selling the stuff. He could have easily told me it needed to be replaced and sold me another batch for $95.  I used it and didn't find it any different than when treated correctly. I'm not advocating to ignore what your urologist or pharmacist say. This is what my experience was. I still put it back in the freezer after use.

My Doc also recommended Tri-Mix.  Viagra has worked for several years but has stopped working, Cialis don't work at all for me. I've read as much as I can find but my question is does this stuff need to be refrigerated  or kept in the freezer?  It would be pretty hard to hide this from my SO.  Only one article mentioned if should be kept in the freezer.  I'm talking about the one that you load up yourself.

Yes, you have to keep it referigerated, not frozen.  My wife and I were still occassionally screwing although that's stopped, post-menopause makes it really painful for her and there's a difference between being willing and being enthusiastic.  Fortunately, I no longer need it because it does make it difficult to hide.

It seems to work every time. Only one time did I see it fail and that was because the user didn't hit the right spot. You have to know exactly where to inject.

I have not tried this. The blue pill still works for me.  I just wanted to mention that Diabetes can really impact erections.  Both Type 1 and Type 2 according to my doctor.  So watch out for your blood sugar and if you have Diabetes, or are borderline Type two, make sure your doctor considers this if you start having ED issues
