I'm guessing my post from 9/27 counts among the 'last minute' posts that you've decried in your post.

Speaking for myself I have a very full schedule of professional and personal commitments so when some time unexpectedly opens up on relatively short notice I'd like to make a connection off this board with a reputable provider. I'm courteous enough to establish the nature of my request in the subject line to ensure that people not interested in the content of the message have no reason to click through and waste their valuable time.

All that said I'm not sure what I've done to deserve the animosity or anger in your post. What important public service announcements on the MD board did my request push down that you are so concerned about? Can't be an ad since there's a separate board for that purpose.
