As much as I hate new rules and guidelines, I have to believe that this is a great idea. Just a few hours ago, I was going to write a post to comment on the endless ads on the boards. Some of it appears to have gotten out of hand and I'm glad to see our moderator and his co-workers take care of this. I have nothing against providers posting the occasional ad, but some post ads 3 times a week. I have also seen this on other boards, not just here. I just wanted to say "Good job" to our moderator.

Providers, please read the following guidelines before posting an ad on TER discussion boards:

1)  You may post one ad per week.  (Escort agencies may post one
ad per week per city they serve.)

When visiting another city, you may also post one ad per
week on that board to announce your visit.  Include the
dates of your visit in the subject line of your ad.

Please help us keep it fair by reporting violations of the
limit to the local moderator or to Girl Next Door.

2.  You may place your ad on any of the regional boards,
including Other Cities, that are closest to the area you
service or are touring.   Porn Stars may advertise on the
Porn Star board, and TSs should advertise on the Transexual
board.  Unsolicited ads are not allowed on other TER
discussion boards, including the National Discussion Board.

3.  Your ad must include a link that goes directly to your
online ad or website, and your website must have your phone
number or email address on it.  Ads that do not provide a
valid, working link will be deleted. The link must work when
the moderator reads it, so please check it carefully
 when posting.

4.  You must post your own ads.  Ads posted by other parties
 will be deleted.

5.  Please do not write in ALL CAPS.

6.  Moderators may delete ads after they expire.

TER Moderators may, at their discretion and judgement, delete any ads that, in their opinion, do not follow these guidelines.

By participating in the discussions on TER discussion boards, you can greatly increase your visibility and give potential clients the opportunity to get to know you better.  You may include the link to your webpage in messages you contribute to any TER discussion board, and that does not count as an ad.  In fact, you are encouraged to include your link, because it helps everyone get to know you better.  Just please make those "linked" messages meaningful, fun or helpful contributions.

Thank you,
Girl Next Door

Just a bit out of hand. We don't seem to have much of a problem with it here in SD but get a load of the Chicago board. Endless provider ads and nearly no discussion.

I'm very happy to see this. Candidly, I miss the witty posting of some of our providers, like Ashlee the TRUGFE, for one. Her reparte' and insight always was pleasing to the eyes and seemed to hit the mark. The same for many others of our more literate and conversationally enabled ladies. Come on ladies, strut your stuff more...some of us guys like your minds as much as your bodies...

Of late, I've had a feeling that the posts from many of the providers have been, well, self promoting. And in some cases, in the past, we likely had some so called hobbyists "pimping" away for some of the ladies. I think that one person has gone away, but still some of it seems to pop up from time to time.

TER makes money off of advertising and memberships. If this site continued to allow the equivilant of "free classified" ads in the bulletin board, eventually there wouldn't be any place for hobbyists to share their fantasy writings about their fictional experiences.

I for one support the concept, even though we have not been as badly hit as some other markets have. Still, given the big game that's coming up in America's Finest City, we should recognize that it's in all of our best interest to keep the "solicitous" comments to a minimum.

I also miss some of the witty responses that some providers once shared on this and other boards. While some still have good, although negative arguments on this board, it is usually under an alias. If some providers put as much energy into a positive post, that I'm sure would drum up some business.
I still recall when I first got on this board, how so many hobbyists wanted to know who so-and-so was, simply because he was intrigued and impressed with her posts. Some guys, myself included, were going crazy at the time trying to figure out who some of them were. It was the funnest cat and mouse game that I have ever played.
So, instead of these simple one and two sentance posts, providers, please let your minds and keyboards run free and express yourselves here. It may get you more business than you can handle. Some hobbyists like a great mind as well as a great body and face. Just my .02 cents

and when scrolling thru there, I usually stop and read what they have to say, sometimes replying to the board and sometimes via PM.  And whew, it's the resulting private messages that are currently rocking my newbie world, --definitely raising my (ahem) interest.
