I don't keep any identifying info in my incall apartment, but I put business cards into my desk when I get to my house (which is not used for business).

They're mixed in with all the other cards from accountants, plumbers, hair stylists, etc--all very benign and innocuous, if anyone was to rummage around.

It's kinda fun to go through them and relive some fond memories.  :)

I suppose that if I had turned out to be LE, that would be their proof of misrepresentation and entrapment, but I have know idea whether that would stand up in court. I don't know whether they kept the card afterward, but when I got to thinking about it, it made me uneasy, because it was a material link. Then I rationalized it thusly; I could say there are any number of ways she could have gotten my card, and usually she already has all the same info from the screening process or my e-mail return signature. It's all right there, but it's amazing how many providers still e-mail me back and ask for the information that was right there on the original request for a meeting!

And every once in a while I used to call or email just to stay in touch.

Usually guys that did alot of business on the road.

No Longer stay in touch.  Too busy.

As Elise wrote, when a gentleman gives me his business card, he and I almost always have made a very nice connection.  He usually lets me know that I may contact him if I need _anything_.  Very sweet, and I always appreciate that.

Of course I keep them!  I never ask even to see a card, so it's completely voluntary when a gentleman gives me one.  It's just a business card, nothing incriminating or even eyebrow-raising.  Someone could have passed it on to me, for all anyone knows.  But, I remember him.  :-)
