Problems contacting providers with email only...

Just curious what everyone else thinks of this - providers and clients alike.

In the past three weeks I've had difficulties contacting/getting responses from providers who don't have phone numbers.  I'm very glad that business is so good a provider might not feel the need to respond as promptly, but if that's their only means of access it really limits our ability to schedule in advance as so many prefer, especially when I put in time and date of requested visit and haven't heard back until after those dates.

Really would like to know what experience other clients have had and what the provider's thoughts are.  Thanks.

IMHO, I don't think it unreasonable to make alternate arrangements if you don't hear back from someone.  First though, I'd give it a second try, either another schedule request or a follow-up email.  Remember that computers and the internet are not a precise science, and that web-sites and ISP's have lots of outtages, especially with all the viruses going around. Be clear in the subject matter of your email, and avoid any "spam - like" comments.  It could be that spam filters are filtering your emails.

As a courtesy, if you do make a schedule request and then make alternate arrangements, I would drop a cancellation email to that effect to the original lady.  Doesn't hurt to keep on good terms, and might avoid a misunderstanding later on.

if you are looking for a first time experience, you have to be persistent. if you are looking for a repeat preformance, you should have a phone number, if you are a desireable client.

And after you've been persistent and tried to arrange meetings several times?  Sure, it's only fair repeat customers get better service, but if you are only accessible via email, shouldn't you check your email and respond occassionally?  Professional courtesy is expected in any business; why should this one be different?

i agree with you. most providers who use e-mail only do not want their phone number on net, however they should show the coursity to respond to all mail wether the response be positive or negative.  all i meant was, most e-mail only girls will give you a contact phone number if they have seen you once or twice and are interested in having you as a regular.
