I like to book in advance by atleast a couple of days. I like multi-hour appointments so I like to have everything ready. I like to make sure I am clean and shaven, mustache trimmed ( otherwise it makes her sneeze ). I get into the room about an hour before she arrives. I like to put out lots of those tea lights. I like candles, and those don't make a mess. I like to make sure that there is something to nibble on, for both of us, and what ever she likes to drink. This is all part of my fantasy, and I enjoy every part, from the set up, to picking out a card for the donation. I like to give a present, something that I know she will enjoy and at the same time not expect. Something quirky that I know will be enjoyed. Okay that's how I do it.

6) If it is a new provider - does your preparation differ? How does it different compared to an AFT ?

I usually freshen up in the hotel restroom (wash the eyeglasses, hands, etc) since I tend to only go to incalls. I also try to eat light the day of the appt.

I don't have a ritual so to speak. Most of my appts are same day so there's not much time for planning or prep ahead of time.
At minimum I'll do the three S's, shit, shave and shower. OK, the first one isn't mandatory, but the second two are. The shower is self explanatory, with extra attention to the *good* spots. The 5 oclock shadow is sometimes scratchy on the lady so it's good to get rid of it.
I'll try to catch a nap ahead of time if possible too. Run a quick iron over the shirt and I'm off for some fun

I tend to arrange sessions sometimes months in advance, as it turns out.
Usually, in the week of the session, I'll get a haircut, I'll buy some new article of clothing, make some subtle change to personal appearance. I might stop by a sex shop for some toy... Most of this depends on the time and money I can commit to it, and I'm developing the prep as I go along.
I've tended to do 80 percent of the prep in the same day, if I have the day off, most of it having to do with personal hygiene. Going without saying, shower, shit, and shave. About the latter, my stubble is really course, so I'll tend to shave multiple times and condition my face so that it's smoother than usual. I'll trim my nails short and (for several days before) use lotion on my hands and make sure they have no dryness, cracked skin, rashes, or frayed cuticles. Sometimes I'll get a manicure.
About four hours in advance, I'll give special attention to my mouth, scraping the tongue, flossing, using dental tools to scrape the plaque off the teeth, brushing, and then using a waterpik with two special mouthwashes to thoroughly clean the tongue, all the soft tissues. I'll follow up immediately before I leave with mouthwash. (I'm usually pretty thorough about cleaning my teeth and tongue anyway.)
I'll trim my pubic hair short, then I'll shower and especially soaping, cleaning and scrubbing the pubic, perineum and anal areas. I'll use now just a light hint of cologne afterward, by spraying a light mist and walking through it.
If it's a repeat session, I'll shop, buy some flowers (nothing elaborate, so far), get or arrange for food and refreshment, check her website or postings for anything extra I could do (within reason and budget)... study TER and other such areas for suggestions.
Elaborate? I never did near this much when I was dating or had an GF. I've greatly upgraded my attention to appearance and presentation in general. The hobby's been changing me. And it's not just on the surface.
