Do you like to receive random text messages or emails from a provider you have seen before?

.....with whom I exchange e-mails from time to time, but a reply is never expected.  I might send one, if I will be in his area for my private sector position, and will entertain while I am in his city, or if I read his name in the news, I might send a quick "atta boy" his way.  I did send a few condolence e-mails this morning, after the Pat's loss last evening.

I do not text, unless it is an emergency.

I think it's disrespectful,I feel like if a guy want to be bothered he'd contact you!

If both parties agree to continued conversations via emails or text.  However, after the visit with a provider, she should ask the question and get permission to do so.  Unexpected texts or emails to people that don't have the privacy could result in a lot of trouble.  I wish some of my providers would let me know when their in the area and have open time that they want to fill....  maybe even a special price or options because you have been with each other before.

You need to be discrete. Remember that many of your clients are married ... perhaps most. Assume your client's wife WILL get the message first and think - if my husband got this text, what would I think?

I would love to get e-mails from  providers.  My SO knows nothing about the phone and the e-mail address, so that's not a problem.

Like the question.

If the conversation is had, and the client is cool with it, I would say go for it.
I know myself, I can pretty much receive text/email whenever.  Got into the hobby because my GF is long distance and part time.  Would keep the provider on my mind, make me believe they gave a crap, and increase the likelyhood of making an appt.
