New Provider Advice

Hi Everyone!
Marley here. I am currently making the preparations to become a new independent provider in the Maryland/DC/NoVa area and I've just got a few questions.

1) As a new independent provider, I obviously have no reviews for potential clients to look over. Other than my photos and my ads, they will have no way of knowing that I am safe to come see. So...
To hobbyists: Do you periodically find yourself taking the chance to see a new lady?
To providers: When you first started out, how did you come across the first gentleman you saw?

2) To providers: I am brand new to the screening process and I would SO appreciate some tips on where to start, what types of information to ask for, etc. Gentlemen, feel free to weigh in on this too!

I fully intend to provide safe, discreet, professional, high quality service to everyone who chooses to spend their time with me, but I would love to have as many of my ducks in a row as possible. Thank you for reading!

xoxo...Marle

Depending on what I see in a lady's ads and website, I may be willing to visit a new lady with no reviews.  Am I going to book four hours at $400 per hour? No.

If the opening rate is reasonable, and the location is convenient, I can sometimes find myself willing to indulge... if the lady in question strikes my fancy.  Sometimes, my reaction to the ad and pictures is "Ehh, maybe if I see someone else's excellent review", and I don't have a solid explanation for why I have that reaction.  Sometimes I am more inspired to pick up the phone, that's all.

I look forward to seeing more about you in the future!

If the scheduling is not too difficult and I realy like the photos, then I will take a chance.

Hey there,
I really appreciate your honesty here. Thank you for that, truly.

to see a new lady. I tend to see that as two separate issues.

First, I think we are all generally willing to take a chance on someone who we can verify as safe in some way, or at least minimize LE risk. Having a P411 or Date-Check profile, a reference from another known hobbyist or provider, info on other boards, etc... all lend credence to our mutual safety.

Second, without reviews we are taking a chance on you... your appearance (are the pics really you and really accurate?) and your menu and performance (for example, no BBBJ is usually a deal-breaker for me). A good website is an absolute must. IMO, your rates should reflect your status as the newest employee in the mailroom; you need to get some experience and performance reviews under your belt before you insist on the boardroom salary. That "value" is the hobbyists' incentive to take that chance you are seeking.

There were recently a few gals in Philly that discounted second sessions if the client posted a review of the first session. That built initial and repeat income and drove pretty quick review publication for them.

You should post on your local board and the boards for areas you will be visiting, just to let people get to know you and become familiar with you. You can post a link to your website with any post you make, provided it is not the start of a thread. You can also post on the ad boards every 7 days (note, this does not mean every week - it is literally every 7 days). Also, spend time reading and participating on the Newbie board, and read everything (everything!) in the self-help center - it will explain a lot.

As for screening, the screening services I mentioned can be a big help for you, but are not enough on their own. You should PM or talk with some experienced providers for advice; never talk about specifics of screening methods on the open board.

Hope this helps

Would just echo that getting a P411 profile and making sure you are tracking in-bound requests that way is a great way of attracting pre-screened gents.  Good luck!

To your website, or any photos that maybe posted of you?

Thank you to everyone who responded! I've done a good bit of research on the industry but obviously not nearly enough lol.
