The ACLU could sue for the couples "loss of consortium(sp?)". The irony would be delicious and the heat created for the corrections department is just what their already stretched budget needs.

I ran into this and wathced the video clip a min ago. Don't know all the facts as i don't remember anything about this from the late 90s, but for some reason it rubbed me the wrong way.

The Federal government is totally out of whack. It is not government of, for or by the people. It is governnment for professional politicians and professional bureaucrats. The Federal government has no concept of civil liberties, the constitution or even common sense, yet too many people are still ranting for more government. For many years people have clamored for bigger government and what they got is a Federal government that is obese, abusive, and intrusive; a tyranny.
