Carabiners can be used with nearly anything that has a metal loop.  Chains, cuffs, spreader bars,  whatever.  You can daisy chain them to get more length - or use them to shorten up things.  They also can be released fairly quickly.  IMHO, the duct tape of bondage.  And duct tape is just too damned scary for me.  Also messy...in a not good way.

  Obviously, there are limits- such as suspension where you really need rated equipment.   But for light play (which is what I am into), you can even use plastic ones...  Found some nice pink camo ones for one of my play mates...  Home Depot is a great source for these -  but if you are serious (which I am not) obviously you need to work with REAL equipment from climbing outfitters.

Attached by twine to a collar.  Nice and tight.  If the person moves their head, that pulls the hook.  And when you touch the twine, it's like you are tapping directly into the nervous system.  Twang the wire and they feel it through their whole body.

I'm really getting into stockings that I have worn. I like marking people with my scent, and nylon is strong & stretchy. Works great, as long as you don't mind cutting it off.

And paint stirrers.

They are the easiest and fastest way to go. You don't need to learn knots, worry about nerve damage or too much pressure (as much) like you would with rope. You don't need to worry about tight wrapping and safety shears like with plastic wrap or bondage tape. Great for beginners and effortless for the more well practiced. I always have a set of leather cuffs with me and metal clasps to attach them to fixtures, other cuffs, ect.

For some the act of putting someone in bondage is the experience they enjoy... But it takes a lot of practice to get to where your hands move well and you're not trying to remember how a knot works. With cuffs, you slap them on and move on to the fun of sweet torture and sensual teasing to observe your subject struggle in the bondage.
